An AWESOME D&D podcast. It’s a great story with great characters not to mention a great editor.I love how the DM makes the journey of walking to a mountain the most epic trip ever. I also love how each person really gets into their role. They start thinking “what would my character do” instead of “what would I do”.Keep up the awesome work.Make sure you follow them on Facebook and Twitter for all the behind goofs and gags.
This amazing podcast was my first dive into the exciting world of D&D. This group makes for a easy and exciting entry into the world. Michael weaves a Bob Ross like tapestry with his word pictures, setting a easy to picture scene. The characters are not only likeable, but relatable. The role play is fantastic and entertaining. I would 100% recommend for listeners of all ages.
New favorite show! I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick up another actual play, but the chemistry of this cast is fantastic. Great story and incredible roleplay.
I am 15 episode in at the time of this review. I really enjoy this show. Doesn’t take itself too seriously. Light and funny at times with a good balance of some more sobering moments sprinkled in. Can’t wait to listen to more and see what turns up.
Take it from this internet rando, this is a great group of players telling a great story. The combat and mechanics of the game are engaging and move quickly. The chemistry between DM and players enables an immersive story with just the right amounts of comedy and drama. If you miss playing with your own group and want to listen in to a group of good friends playing a good game, then this is the podcast for you.-M
Highly underrated podcast, but not for long. Between the storytelling, the production levels, and the cast as a whole, this is by far one of my favorite TTRPG's podcasts to listen to. The DM does a fantastic job at working the story to each character, and the cast plays their own PC to perfection, while working together to tell an incredible story. If you wanna know what DND is really like, dont watch Critical Role, listen to this group of friends play a game while telling a story that will make you laugh, cry, and wonder about their sanity at times. If I could give them more stars, I would <3 Remember me when yall are famous :'D
