Alex's good plan to meet up with Walter, apologize for the altercation they had previously and inject him with the memory erasing serum; is in full swing after practicing her routine numerous times. She goes to look for him at his place but he's already gone. Alex returns to her hotel room and Walter's better plan goes into effect. Walter meets Alex at her hotel, apologizes for the altercation they had and invites her to go fishing. An awkward and tension filled ride to the lake finally ends, when they reach the lake. As they walk down the trail, they stop and have a confrontation about Alex being a fraud and what her real motive is. Not being able to take the heat, Alex runs away from Walter but it's to no avail. Walter furiously tries to talk with Alex about what's really happening. But Alex receives a clean slate, of memory by inadvertently injecting herself, when she tries to inject Walter with the memory serum. Before the serum kicks in, Alex hops in a boat to get away from Walter and calls Audrey. Alex gives Audrey a very cryptic warning and then passes out.
