This week, we talk about a science fiction movie titled: Science Report: Alternative 3.  In this film(with what was considered by its creators to be an outlandish plot), we learn that humans are colonizing Mars because the Earth was becoming uninhabitable. The film was presented to a television audience in several countries in 1977, and upon its conclusion, many viewers believed it was real. Ultimately, this belief helped to spawn a whole industry of conspiracy theories and culture that continues to this day.
