Dear Diary,

Welcome to "The Indigo Diaries." Join host Natasha Hickling in the third and long-lasting series: "The World Through an Our Eyes.."

This week Natasha is back with a ‘Open Mind Session’ where she will be joined by Executive Function Coach Mallory Band.

Mallory Band is 30 and is from Maryland (in the US). She currently lives with her husband Andrew and their dog, Riley. She loves watching sports and working out, as well as being outside in nature. She has been working as an executive function specialist with Essig Education Group, serving children, teens, and young adults.

In 2022, she founded Band Together Education, a community that helps individuals with ADHD and learning differences reach their full potential. This is her true passion, as she was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety when she was eight and knows the power of asking for help and being supported by experts.

She has always struggled with feeling good enough. She continues to learn about her neurodiversity as she helps her clients gain independence and improve their self-confidence and self-esteem. Nobody deserves to feel alone or alienated and thus, Mallory loves being vulnerable and talking about her own lived experiences with ADHD and anxiety, in hopes to help others.

In this episode, we discuss the struggle with not feeling good enough and that it is often overtaken with imposter syndrome and rejection sensitive dysphoria. We touch upon worrying about the “what ifs” and the cause that it can make us be stuck in the past or propelled into the possible future, and rarely living in the moment. We can rely on my strengths and past successes to feel good about where we currently are and where are going. It is critical to help others understand value and worth. As… We are all good enough.

Come, Learn, listen, and experience the world through not her eyes, our eyes!
