In this weeks episode, I chat with my beautiful Acupuncturist & Chinese medicine guru Dr Maz Roginski. I have been seeing Dr Maz since last year & she has honestly changed the way I live my life, she thought me how to be kinder to myself how to drink water correctly (yes you heard right) that you can eat meat & potatoes & that you don't have to smash yourself exercising to lose weight! I have never felt better & since seeing her I am so much happier & healthier. I had hit a dead end with my health I was overwhelmed & exhausted by my new role as a mother & I had no idea how to ask for help or how to go about making the right changes for myself. My blood tests were all fine yet I was still not losing weight or getting more energy even though I was doing "all the right things."
There are a billion more questions I wanted to ask but we covered so much, we chat about male-female energy, postpartum, menopause, childhood trauma, how our culture & environment affects us in adult life. That health is a lot more than what we eat or drink, how to prevent burn out practice surrender & acceptance & that things won't always be perfect. Why it's unhealthy to follow common health trends like Ice baths, juicing etc how to adapt a ying & yang approach to everything & trust in yourself & your own intuition.
Her hardships & personal experiences make her so approachable & easy to talk to, after my first visit to her clinic I was overwhelmed with emotion & cried at the fact that for the first time since I had my son someone validated my symptoms! Her no-fuss & easy to follow approach makes her so unique & special & I hope you can listen with an open heart & an open mind & give acupuncture/Chinese medicine a try. Remember that you don't have to feel like crap & that there is power in asking for help, small daily or weekly rituals amount to a lot & keeping things simple is key to a well balanced sustainable life.
