What is community?

How do we cultivate a community that is inclusive, accessible, integrity-based, and conscious-driven?

In this episode, I speak with Crystie Kisler, Co-Founder of Finnriver Farm & Cidery. I am in gratitude for Crystie's passion and innate gift in cultivating and empowering community.

We hear from Crystie how Finnriver began (not as a cidery), what community means to her and what it looks like, ways Finnriver has been cultivating community, and ways to show up in our daily life to evoke change and growth.

Crystie also shares some tools for businesses who are looking to cultivate a greater sense of purpose-driven and community-based initiatives, as well as a plethora of personal life tools for centering.

Having the fortunate opportunity to live near Finnriver and witness the proactive outreach and nourishing collaborations throughout the community, I often wonder...

What if we have more businesses or opportunities that connect people to the land? What is needed to create such an experience for people in an urban setting?

And as Crystie asked in this episode, how can we make places like Finnriver more accessible to people who are financially, geographically, or otherwise unable to access it?

Big questions to consider and explore.

As Finnriver continues to evolve, I'd like to say thank you to Crystie and the entire Finnriver community for expanding my perspective on what is possible when cultivating community.

*Finnriver Farm & Cidery is a community gathering space located in the Chimacum Valley, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.  "For the love of land, the art of farming, and the spirit of community."
