This week on Our Money Life, we answer why relying on Social Security is not the best strategy for retirement. Originally meant to serve American citizens at the height of the Great Depression, using this program as your sole source of retirement income could put you and your family at risk. 

There are many concerns of whether Social Security will be able to provide for a growing population as the human lifespan continues to expand, but we’re not going to wait to find out. It’s a nice benefit, but we’ll tell you why we’re not going to plan our retirements around it.
