Psychology is the scientific study of

0:02

the mind and behavior . Psychologists

0:05

are actively involved in studying and understanding

0:08

mental processes , brain functions and

0:10

behavior . It

0:12

is a mixture of atheistic , evolutionary

0:15

and Marxist thought at its

0:17

core and it rejects

0:19

a biblical worldview and the power of

0:21

God unto salvation . At

0:23

its core , it gives a misdiagnosis

0:25

and the wrong prognosis and leaves people

0:27

in the position of having no

0:30

hope outside of themselves . Unless

0:33

psychology understanding the mind

0:35

and behavior is directed by

0:37

the Bible and has

0:39

at its core biblical redemption

0:41

by the power of God , then

0:44

it is by nature antagonistic

0:47

towards true healing and

0:49

deliverance . As a minister of

0:51

the gospel , it's important to understand

0:53

how the mind of man works , but

0:56

to divorce that from the Bible or try to

0:58

amalgamate Freudian or Jungian atheistic

1:01

psychology with biblical thought

1:03

is a horrible error that

1:05

at its core stagnates and removes

1:07

people from the power of the gospel

1:10

of Jesus Christ . Greetings

1:15

Bible believers and followers of the End Time

1:17

Message . Welcome to another episode

3:34

today's podcast . Hey

3:39

everyone , thank you so

3:41

much for tuning into the podcast

3:43

. Wonderful to have you here

3:46

. This topic

3:48

this time is going to be

3:50

about the destructive force of

3:53

psychology . Just

4:00

a dog whistle to some that

4:02

people get up and preach

4:05

against psychology and say certain

4:07

types of preachers are preaching

4:10

psychology . I

4:12

think that's a great danger . It's not about a certain style

4:14

. If

4:18

you preach passionately , that's

4:21

wonderful . That's

4:28

wonderful if you preach if you're a teacher . It's not de facto preaching psychology

4:30

either way , at its core , you

4:33

must be preaching the word of god and

4:35

not trying to change

4:37

people's minds using human

4:39

means , but pointing them to

4:41

the power of God . Now

4:44

let's look at some

4:47

scriptures and then

4:49

let's start to talk about psychology

4:52

. Romans 12

4:54

, 1 and 2, . I beseech you therefore

4:56

, brethren , by the mercies of God , that

4:58

you present your bodies a living sacrifice

5:00

, holy , acceptable unto

5:02

God , which is your reasonable service

5:05

, and be not conformed

5:07

to this world , but be transformed by

5:09

the renewing of your mind that you

5:11

may prove what is that good and acceptable

5:14

and perfect will of God . So

5:17

our minds do need to be changed

5:20

, but our minds are

5:24

transformed by them

5:26

being renewed

5:28

. So we once thought

5:30

one way . We have to think a different way

5:32

. This isn't mere . This

5:35

is , you can see in verse 1

5:37

, this is a surrender

5:39

. That's what we're doing

5:42

, is we have to surrender ourselves

5:45

to God , lay aside all our

5:47

thinking so that we can think his

5:50

thoughts and our mind is renewed . So

5:52

how do we not be ? Don't be conformed

5:54

to the way the world does things . You

5:57

know , again , psychology

5:59

is a way the world does things . It's

6:01

not the way God does it . It's

6:04

not the way God moves and

6:06

works . They might have some commonality

6:09

with how God does it , but at its core

6:11

, again , god is out of the picture

6:13

in psychology . Our

6:16

minds must be renewed

6:18

. That is how we're transformed

6:20

right , transformed right

6:22

. That isn't psychology . That's

6:25

the Word of God being preached

6:27

, being read , being

6:37

studied , and by the Holy Spirit it's revealed to us . One way

6:39

that revelation is described is it goes from your mind , see , it comes from

6:41

your ears into your mind , into

6:43

your memory , and then , by revelation

6:46

, it goes to our heart . And

6:48

when it goes to our heart , it stays there . And

6:50

when it goes to our heart , that's when

6:52

transformation takes

6:55

place . And when transformation

6:57

takes place , that is when we can prove

6:59

what is that good and acceptable

7:01

and perfect will of God . It's not asking us to prove

7:05

it through argument , but that we prove

7:07

it by our lives . 2

7:11

Corinthians 3 , 18, . But

7:13

we all , with open face , beholding as in a

7:15

glass the glory of the Lord , are chained into

7:17

the same image from glory to glory even

7:20

as by the Spirit of the Lord . We're changed by what

7:22

we behold , what you look

7:24

at . Now this is a different thing

7:27

. What are we looking at ? It's what we're

7:29

hearing through preaching , and

7:31

it's also what we're reading , studying

7:33

, listening to as

7:36

far as that goes . And we're changed from

7:38

glory to glory . We get in the presence of the Lord

7:40

, we pray . We pray

7:42

over the Word , and that Word enters

7:44

our hearts and we're changed into the same

7:46

image , from glory to glory , and that's

7:48

from the inside out . Again , let

7:53

me read one more scripture we can talk about this

7:55

1 Corinthians , 2 , 4 , and

7:58

my speech and my preaching was not with enticing

8:00

words of man's wisdom , but in demonstration

8:02

of the Spirit and of power

8:05

. Again , preaching

8:08

is foolishness to the world . The

8:11

teaching of the Word of God is foolishness

8:14

to the world , but

8:16

it's the power of God . There

8:19

is power in the Word

8:21

preached under the anointing

8:23

of God . Now let's

8:25

look at the big picture . God

8:28

designs not

8:30

that we're changed in

8:33

our mind merely , but

8:36

God designs that we're changed

8:38

from the inside out . So

8:41

our soul is

8:43

at our core . That's

9:02

the nature of our spirit . So our spirit , then , is where the attributes

9:04

of the mind are Reason , conscience , affection , imagination , memory , those

9:07

five things our senses are in the spirit . Then

9:09

there's the body see , taste , feel , smell and

9:12

hear . So psychology

9:15

seeks to change you . On

9:18

the second level , it's approaching

9:20

merely the mind . The word

9:23

of God preached in power is

9:25

approaching the soul and

9:27

it then , from the soul level

9:29

, changes the mind changes

9:32

the body . Psychology

9:36

can never change a man's heart

9:38

. It can change his mind , but it can't

9:40

change his heart . Psychology

9:42

can never produce the gospel , can't

9:47

change his heart . Psychology can never produce the gospel . Psychology has

9:49

never healed a man , delivered a woman , produced a miracle or gave someone eternal life

9:52

. Psychology

9:54

has changed the way people think , but

9:56

it has not transformed their

9:58

life . You say , well , I

10:01

have an experience . I went to a therapist and they talked

10:03

to me Sometimes just talking

10:06

about what's being said can

10:08

help . And you don't need a degree in psychology

10:10

to help someone . You

10:12

can just be a friend and listen and

10:15

that can help them . It's

10:17

very simple . There

10:20

is so psychology

10:22

. Let's look at what the word is . There is

10:24

so psychology . Let's look at what the word is . Psyche means soul

10:26

and ology means

10:28

the study of Now

10:31

. There is a true study of the soul , but

10:34

it isn't based upon the modern theories of

10:36

education from Sigmund Freud

10:38

, carl Jung , william James

10:40

, ivan Pavlov or

10:43

Alfred Adler . The

10:45

foundation of psychology understand

10:48

this . The foundation of psychology is

10:50

not a biblical worldview . It's a

10:52

godless educational

10:55

foundation , evolutionary

10:57

understanding that's what it is . Science

11:00

, civilization and

11:02

education are all of the devil . Brother

11:05

Branham tells us that and teaches that to

11:07

us very clearly . Now

11:10

. It's

11:12

a godless again . It's

11:14

a godless educational foundation

11:18

. What a danger . So

11:20

Sigmund Freud was a founding

11:23

father of psychology , and

11:25

what did he produce in his life ? He

11:27

was a drug addict . He

11:30

reduced everybody to the basic level of

11:33

they're driven by sex

11:35

. That's what he thought

11:37

, that's what he taught . What nonsense

11:39

. All

11:41

right , now let's look at a few quotes from

11:43

Brother Branham , the Angel of

11:45

God , 1948 . When

11:48

, sometimes , when I can catch

11:50

their eyes , that's how I get

11:52

them in that channel , you see , and then it's not

11:54

a mind reading , it's not psychology

11:57

. If it is , then Paul used it when he looked

11:59

upon the man and said I perceive

12:01

you have faith to be healed . I

12:03

will grant you this , it is psychology in this

12:05

way . Psyche , of course

12:08

, means mind , and it's the mind of Christ

12:10

. The human mind

12:12

has the privilege to enter in and

12:14

know the mind of Christ . Hallelujah , my

12:17

, what a reality to dwell in the channel of

12:19

Christ . We unworthy mortals have been brought

12:21

in to be sons and daughters

12:23

, to be fellow citizens . All

12:27

right , so there we see . Brother Brandon was saying there

12:29

is a real psyche

12:32

or psychology , and

12:35

that's having the mind of Christ . Amen , that's

12:37

the true psychology

12:40

Modern psychology has departed

12:42

from that and is wading

12:46

in wicked and evil waters . 1961

12:49

, micaiah the prophet says we'll never

12:52

be able to convert the world by trying to shine up our churches and make them . Trying

12:54

to shine up our churches and make them bigger and

12:56

polish up our ministers with better education

12:59

. They already got all that stuff . They

13:01

got all kinds of psychology and ball games

13:03

and everything the world has got that . But

13:06

we got something they haven't got . That's

13:08

Christ . See , try , just stay

13:10

in your own territory . We got Christ . They don't

13:12

have Christ . They got all the psychology

13:14

. Don't try to match them with wits . You

13:17

can't do it , they don't . They

13:19

can outmatch you . So it's not

13:21

about being ultra-intelligent

13:24

. It's not about having

13:26

the smartest , best-educated

13:28

, biggest-polished

13:31

churches that draw in the masses

13:33

using psychology . Preach

13:35

the word , preach the word , preach

13:38

the word and let it change people's lives

13:40

. Just

13:43

once more , lord , 1963 . Now

13:46

we got seminaries that hatch out ministers

13:48

and we're building bigger ones

13:50

all the time . And we got students of psychology

13:53

, and that's

13:55

all right if you want to teach psychology . But I

13:57

don't care about psychology . I

13:59

want to know Jesus Christ , that's all . All

14:01

I want to know is Him , amen

14:04

. Look , there's

14:07

all kinds of knowledge that we can seek . There's all kinds

14:09

of information that we can seek and we

14:11

can dive into whatever it

14:13

is deeply . But again , this is

14:15

talking about the matters of life and death

14:17

. You're not going to be changed

14:20

and transformed by

14:22

psychology . Your mind

14:24

can be helped , you can be reformed

14:26

. A broken

14:28

clock is right twice

14:31

a day ? Right , right

14:41

, twice

15:40

a day , right . So look , by just changing the mind

15:42

you're not changing the man , you're

15:48

just reforming him . He could easily slip right back into old habits , but when you preach the

15:50

word of God , it goes to the soul and it brings about a transformation and

15:53

it brings about a deliverance . You

15:55

know , this is a spiritual warfare . It's

15:57

not merely a flesh and blood thing . If you change

15:59

his mind , it'll be changed . What about the demon powers

16:01

? Are you going to change their mind ? No

16:04

, you have to have the power of God to overcome

16:06

. It takes

16:08

way more than that . All right , jehovah Jireh

16:10

, 1964 . It takes way more than that . All right , jehovah

16:12

Jireh , 1964 . The random said he said , sir

16:15

, muhammadism can produce just as

16:17

much psychology as Christianity

16:19

can . And they do you

16:21

ought to hear them shout and scream . That's right . Produce

16:23

just as much psychology as Christianity

16:26

can . He said well , what do you mean when you

16:29

said that Jesus promised all these things to

16:31

you ? He

16:33

said I suppose you're referring to Mark 16 . He says yes

16:35

, that's one of them , not all together , but that's

16:37

one . Jesus said the

16:40

last words . He said to the church Go

16:42

ye into all the world , see and preach the gospel and these

16:44

signs shall follow the believer how long ? All

16:47

the world , every creature , if

16:51

they lay hands on the sick , they shall recover . The last words he said according

16:53

to your scripture . He said well , you see , that's

16:55

just said . You see that ain't part , ain't

16:57

inspired . He said he really didn't

17:00

mean that , that wasn't . He

17:03

said it ain't inspired . He said what kind of a book are

17:05

you reading ? He said all the Quran

17:07

is inspired . It's

17:10

a defeat of the weakness of theology

17:12

, a man-made theology

17:14

that hasn't got the spirit to stand up and face the thing . Like

17:17

the Hebrew children said , our God is able to deliver

17:19

us from the fiery furnace , but nevertheless

17:22

will not bow to this image . We

17:24

need people with courage . Man who has believed

17:26

God has always been courageous and believed

17:28

in the supernatural . Men who

17:30

believe God . Mr Reed

17:32

had said I kicked the floor , brother Branham kicked

17:35

the dust , just like that , and I couldn't answer

17:37

the man . He said I purposed in my heart to

17:40

come see you after that and ask what this was all

17:42

about . He said here I am . He said

17:44

if the Holy Ghost said Brother Branham , my

17:46

mother sent me to school and said when I got my BA

17:49

, I thought there is exactly . I said I know what you

17:51

mean . And said when I got my BA , I thought there is exactly . I said I know what

17:53

you mean . I said then one day I got my BA , I thought right

17:55

there I'd find Christ . He wasn't there . When

17:57

I got my doctor's degree , I said

17:59

I got enough degrees honorary degrees to plaster

18:02

your walls . And where is Christ

18:04

in all of it ? I said

18:06

who am I to say that the teachers are wrong ? But

18:08

that's not what we're talking about . It's the

18:10

person , christ , that you must

18:12

know . Now the man is holding great

18:14

campaigns everywhere and Dr Lee Vale there

18:16

, a good friend of mine , is a friend of his

18:18

also and he's having great success praying

18:21

for the sick and holding great big campaigns

18:23

and everything . It's

18:25

because that man believed . There you go . It's

18:28

not by convincing people

18:31

using arguments . Paul

18:33

did it . Paul preached and used arguments

18:36

, but

18:43

didn't it stop there , right ? You can read the book of

18:45

Acts . He argued with , he disputed with the people right , and he used

18:47

scriptural arguments

18:49

to defend his point . But

18:51

when a push came to shove , what was it ? The

18:54

demonstration of the Spirit came . Brother

18:56

Branham uses arguments , defenses

19:00

of the gospel , of the Word of God to

19:03

make his point . But it doesn't stop there

19:05

. It has to go into demonstration

19:08

of the Spirit and of power in

19:10

the identified masterpiece of God . Brother Branham

19:13

says what we need today is the life of Christ inside

19:15

of us . That's what purifies , not

19:17

the outward , a turned around collar

19:19

or a degree of psychology or

19:21

something . It takes the power of the resurrected

19:24

Christ to make us what we should be

19:26

. God has no other plan

19:28

than to let the Holy Spirit

19:30

rule and reign in the church . Not

19:33

psychology ruling and reigning the church , not

19:35

an intellectual gospel , but

19:38

the power of God to change

19:40

people's lives . Satan's

19:43

Eden , 1965 . And in this intellectual

19:45

, theological seminaries that's

19:47

brought out an intellectual person that's

19:49

been trained how to speak , what to

19:51

do , how to make their emotions and everything like

19:53

that . Been trained how to speak , what to

19:55

do , how to make their emotions and

19:59

everything like psychology , three and four years

20:01

to know how to deal with a man's mind . See , it's

20:03

the spirit of God's , not

20:06

something that it's schooled

20:08

into you . It's something that's predestinated

20:11

into you by the hand of Almighty God . Your

20:14

experiences cannot be schooled or

20:16

taught into you . It's predestinated

20:18

by God's hand and God's foreknowledge

20:20

into you . That's right , amen

20:23

. A gift is a gift . Everybody's

20:25

gifting is a little different and it goes

20:27

in a different way . Now

20:30

I want to just take one minute to

20:32

talk about what psychology is not . Teaching

20:35

people how to have a godly marriage

20:37

is not psychology . Now , you can

20:39

use psychology to do that , but

20:41

we ought to use the Word of God and

20:44

the Word of God . Changes , brings

20:46

transformation , brings power

20:48

to live according to the gospel . Teaching

20:52

people the

20:54

Bible is not

20:56

psychology , it's

20:58

the power of God . When a true

21:00

, anointed teacher teaches the gospel

21:02

, it is the power of God to

21:04

change lives , because you're laying the word

21:07

before people and letting the Holy

21:09

Spirit take that and

21:12

reveal it to them so that they can live

21:14

according to the Word of God . Brother

21:17

Branham never puts teaching into psychology

21:20

. Now , there is a

21:22

teaching that is psychological

21:24

. There is marriage counseling

21:27

. That can be psychology , but

21:31

counseling is not psychology . Giving

21:35

people instructions from the Bible

21:37

is not psychology . Now

21:40

let's look at it and

21:42

let's dig deeper into modern

21:46

psychology , the history of modern psychology

21:48

, we can see more of the difference

21:51

. So psychology

21:54

seeks to explain and

21:57

categorize human behavior

21:59

. As such , it's directly

22:01

affected by the worldview that stands

22:03

behind that theory . In

22:06

modern pop psychology , everything is based

22:08

upon . This happened to you as a trauma response

22:10

, and this thinking has

22:13

been popularized all

22:15

around the world , and that's because of

22:17

TikTok and Facebook

22:21

and Instagram , youtube

22:24

. In fact , psychologists

22:26

themselves do not espouse to most of

22:28

the social media influencers versions

22:30

of psychology that are floating

22:32

around . They're floating around as fact and

22:35

young people are living by them in

22:37

bondage , because

22:40

they have no hope outside of themselves because

22:43

of this stupid pop psychology

22:45

that goes around . Christians , don't be guilty

22:48

of giving your mind to that garbage

22:50

that comes off of social media . Guilty

22:54

of giving your mind to that garbage that comes off of social

22:56

media . What

22:59

is of particular note is the prevailing theory going around among many generations of people

23:02

Gen X , Millennials , gen Z that is , that our behavior came as a result of

23:04

trauma responses from childhood . We

23:07

speak in terms of being triggered by certain

23:10

things we encounter and this creates

23:12

a behavior chain resulting from

23:14

past experiences . Certainly

23:16

, that's true on some level

23:19

, but we modern

23:23

people put it all across

23:25

the board . What a danger Puts

23:28

people in bondage . The

23:30

problem with that version of psychology is

23:32

that it leads to a permanent victim

23:36

mentality . That is where

23:38

we're at today . In modern psychology

23:41

. They're living in a Marxist

23:43

victim mentality and

23:46

you're fighting . There is continually

23:49

fighting against the system , because

23:51

they believe they're continually victims

23:54

of the system . God

23:57

never allows us to blame our behavior

23:59

and our responses on

24:01

others . All have sinned

24:04

and fallen short of the glory of God . It's given

24:06

unto man once to die and after

24:08

that the judgment . We will be judged

24:10

for the deeds we have done

25:41

in the body . While

25:46

trauma response can sometimes be helpful

25:48

in understanding root causes of

25:50

some behaviors I mean , if you look at Brother Branham

25:52

he will go through discernment

25:54

and sometimes he explains this

25:57

happened to you when you were a child and therefore

25:59

this sickness or this thing

26:01

has come upon you . But he didn't

26:03

leave the people there in that and say

26:05

if you can just try

26:09

to do this , then this will respond

26:11

. No , he pointed them to the deliverance

26:13

and the supernatural power of Jesus Christ

26:15

to set them free . You're not a victim

26:18

. This may

26:20

have happened , but you're not a victim . You

26:23

are responsible for your own reaction

26:25

to whatever stimuli

26:28

came your way . Again

26:33

, trauma response

26:35

can be helpful helpful

26:46

, but it doesn't explain everything and in some ways it actually

26:48

is not really of any use to bring healing . Ultimately

26:50

, psychology encourages two

26:53

things . It encourages

26:56

psychotherapy and

26:58

medication . This is

27:00

their , this is the core

27:02

. They diagnose a problem and

27:05

recommend various means of healing , and

27:07

that would be medication or

27:10

psychotherapy . What is psychotherapy

27:13

? Psychotherapy again

27:16

, these are from . This

27:18

is from a website and

27:22

the research that I've done looking at

27:24

psychology . Psychotherapy

27:27

, also called talk therapy , refers

27:30

to a variety of treatments that aim to help

27:32

a person identify and

27:34

change troubling emotions , thoughts

27:36

and behaviors . Most

27:38

psychotherapy takes place one-on-one with

27:40

a licensed mental health professional or

27:43

with other patients in a group setting . Psychotherapy

27:47

and medication are the most common forms of

27:49

mental health treatment . Nimh

27:52

has information on medical health conditions

27:54

In

28:07

general . The goals of psychotherapy are to gain

28:09

relief from symptoms , maintain or enhance

28:11

daily functioning and improve

28:13

quality of life . You

28:21

know might seek out psychotherapy for many reasons , including dealing with

28:23

severe or long-term stress from a job or family situation , the loss of a loved

28:25

one or relationship , or family problems

28:28

. Having symptoms with no physical

28:30

explanation , such as changes in sleep or

28:32

appetite , low energy , lack

28:35

of interest or pleasure in activities

28:37

you once enjoyed , persistent irritability

28:40

, excessive worry or a sense of discouragement

28:42

or hopelessness that won't go away . A

28:45

health care provider suspecting

28:47

you have , or diagnosing you with , a mental disorder

28:50

that is interfering with your life

28:52

, or supporting a child or

28:54

family member who has been diagnosed with a condition

28:56

affecting their mental health . First

28:58

being examined by a healthcare provider

29:00

can help rule out a physical

29:03

issue . This step is important because sometimes

29:05

, symptoms like a change in mood

29:07

or trouble concentrated are due

29:09

to a medical condition . Psychotherapy

29:13

and other treatment options . Continuing to read . Psychotherapy

29:16

can be used as an alternative to or alongside

29:18

medication and other treatment options . Choosing

29:25

the right treatment plan is based on a person's individual needs and

29:27

medical situation and should occur under the guidance

29:29

of a mental health professional . Even when medication

29:32

relieves symptoms , psychotherapy

29:34

can help address specific issues

29:36

. These might include self-defeating

29:39

ways of thinking , irrational fears

29:41

, problems interacting with other

29:43

people or difficulty coping

29:45

with situations at home , school

29:48

or work . What are the elements

29:50

of psychotherapy ? A

29:53

variety of psychotherapies have been shown to

29:55

effectively treat mental health disorders

29:57

. Often , the type of treatment is tailored

29:59

to the specific disorder . For

30:06

example , the treatment approach for someone who has obsessive compulsive disorder

30:08

is different than the approach for someone who has bipolar disorder . Therapists may use one primary

30:10

approach or incorporate elements from multiple

30:12

approaches , depending on their training , the

30:15

disorder being treated and

30:17

the needs of the person receiving treatment . Elements

30:21

of psychotherapy can include the following Help

30:23

a person become aware of automatic ways of

30:25

thinking that are inaccurate or harmful For example

30:28

, having a low opinion of their abilities

30:30

and then question those thoughts

30:32

. Understand how the thoughts affect their emotions

30:34

and behavior , and change self-defeating

30:37

behavior patterns . This approach is known as cognitive

30:39

behavioral therapy . Change

30:42

self-defeating behavior patterns this approach is known as

30:44

cognitive behavioral therapy . Identify

30:48

ways to cope with stress and develop problem-solving strategies . Examine interactions with

30:50

others and teach social and communication skills . Apply mindfulness and

30:52

relaxation techniques such

30:54

as meditation and breathing exercises

30:57

. Use exposure therapy

30:59

, a type of CBT for anxiety disorders

31:01

, in which a person spends brief periods

31:03

in a supportive environment , learning to tolerate

31:05

the distress caused by certain items

31:08

, ideas or imagined scenes . This

31:10

is continued until , over time , the fear associated

31:13

with those things goes down . Track

31:15

emotions and behaviors to raise awareness

31:17

of their impact on each other . Use supportive

31:20

counseling to explore troubling issues and receive

31:22

emotional support . Create a safety

31:24

plan to help with thoughts of self-harm or suicide

31:27

. Recognize warning signs and use coping

31:29

strategies such as contacting

31:31

friends , family or emergency personnel . There

31:34

are many types of psychotherapy . Therapies

31:36

are often variations of an established approach

31:39

, such as CBT . There

31:41

is no formal approval process for

31:43

psychotherapies like there is for medications

31:45

by the US Food and Drug

31:47

Administration . However

31:49

, for many therapies , research involving large

31:51

numbers of patients has provided evidence that

31:54

the treatment is effective . These evidence-based

31:56

therapies have been shown to reduce symptoms

31:59

of depression , anxiety and other mental

32:01

disorders . Nimh's

32:04

health topic pages list some of the

32:06

evidence-based therapies used

32:08

to treat specific

32:11

disorders . All right , so that's speaking

32:14

about psychology and , as you look at it and

32:16

examine it , a few things that I

32:18

think of and examine a few

32:21

things that I think of . This is seeking to take the place

32:23

of God and the things that God has put

32:25

in his word . If

32:28

you look and understand what psychology

32:30

is , it is seeking

32:33

to take the place of the word of God and

32:36

the principles God has placed in

32:38

his word . If you can understand clearly

32:40

and with a level head here , you can see

32:42

that man has erased God from

32:44

the picture and sought to replace

32:47

what God provides with

32:49

man-made knowledge that leads to further

32:52

bondage to something else . Self-improvement

32:56

is fine , but self-improvement is

32:59

not what God called us to

33:01

. He

33:03

calls us to something totally different . You say

33:05

we're not supposed to improve ourselves

33:07

Absolutely . We should

33:10

improve ourselves . But there's God's way of

33:12

doing it and there's man's way of doing it , and

33:15

God's way leads

33:17

you closer to him and

33:19

brings true , eternal happiness . Man's

33:23

way of doing things leads to greater

33:25

dependence on man . Going

33:29

to therapy and talking to an educated person

33:31

that helps you understand the causes of your behavior

33:33

, based upon a theory that does

33:35

not account for what God speaks to us

33:37

, is actually

33:39

destructive , dangerous and foolish

33:41

. We simply follow God's basic

33:43

principles , both in the spiritual and the natural

33:46

. We would not really need a

33:49

psychologist . Now let's

33:51

look at the big picture . We're told to fellowship

33:53

in church , and even more so as

33:55

you see the day approaching . We're

33:58

called to worship with a group of believers

34:00

and listen to the proclamation

34:02

of the word of God . We're told to bring our problems to

34:04

God and he will move in them . If

34:07

we're struggling with anything , we can go to the elders of

34:09

church and be prayed for and counseled by

34:11

the word of God , going forward

34:13

in a prayer line . We can go forward

34:16

to the altar and pray

34:18

. We can go to church early

34:20

and get on our knees and get our faces before

34:22

God and pray , and the power

34:24

of God will flow through the lives

34:27

of believers and deals with their issues . Problems

34:29

, sickness and mental complexes . Fellowship

34:32

with like-minded believers . Go to

34:34

coffee , have a friend and talk about

34:36

what you're going through . These are things

34:38

that the Word of God speaks about

34:41

. Psychology seeks to

34:43

solve our complexes aside

34:45

and apart from the Word of God , and

34:47

so it's merely a natural thing and

34:50

, in many cases , is ultimately a deceptive

34:52

thing . Why ? Because you say it can help , because

34:54

I went through this and talked through this . Because I

34:57

went through this and talked through this , we're

34:59

putting things in place of God

35:01

that , if we did it the right way

35:03

, God would help

35:05

us . Talk to your pastor

35:07

If you're struggling with something . Talk to your pastor

35:10

If you can't find anybody else to talk , to schedule

35:17

a time and say I need to talk to you alone and bear my heart

35:19

to you about something because

35:21

I'm struggling . That's what God calls

35:23

us to do , and the pastor is going to point you to the word

35:25

and he's going to listen . The

35:28

word of God carries with it supernatural

35:31

power , not merely to reform

35:33

the way we think , but to transform our

35:35

minds supernaturally

35:37

and to heal our body , soul

35:39

and spirit completely . God

35:42

can take and totally change the situation 100%

35:46

. Not just the soul , but the body

35:48

itself . Now the other

35:50

part we want to look at is the

35:52

danger of psychotropic drugs

35:55

and how they seek to replace what

35:57

God has designed for us All

35:59

. Right now here's

36:03

some dangers of psychotropic drugs

36:05

. From Dr Axe's

36:08

website , I have 12

36:10

different ones Side

36:12

effects and withdrawal symptoms , increased

36:14

risk of suicide , heart

36:17

problems , pregnancy and birth

36:19

complications , violent behavior

36:21

, w , worsened mental illness , car

36:24

accidents , poor

36:26

immune function , drug abuse and addiction

36:28

, sexual dysfunction , elevated

36:31

risk of breast cancer , diabetes

36:34

Again

36:36

, they speak about

36:38

this , but

36:40

as a whole and in general

36:42

, the risk of suicide

36:45

increases when

36:47

you're on psychotropic drugs . Now

36:50

, some of the most basic things

36:53

actually can

36:55

assist us in

36:57

dealing with mental

37:00

illnesses that we have , or sicknesses or

37:02

complexes or whatever it is . They're

37:04

all things that God created

37:06

and designed for us

37:09

. Okay , now again you're going

37:11

to say my situation is different and my situation

37:13

is because of this and this , because

37:15

of this . I'm looking at overarching principles

37:17

. Hear me out on

37:19

the overarching principles before you

37:21

start attacking . Now , I don't

37:24

say that there are some

37:26

medications that might help for a very

37:28

short period of time . But overall

37:30

, I think they're seeking to take the place of something

37:32

that is missing , that God

37:35

can provide . And

37:37

I'm not trying to attack anybody . I'm not

37:39

trying to say this person shouldn't do this , this person shouldn't do that . I'm not trying to attack anybody . I'm not trying to say this person shouldn't do this , this

37:41

person shouldn't do that . I'm

37:43

trying to proclaim an overall picture

37:46

. If we applied the overall picture , I

37:48

believe God would

37:50

bring healing for you . I've

37:53

tried , I've asked God and he hasn't healed . So

37:55

I go to a psychologist . Oh

37:58

my , oh my , I don't know what to say to

38:00

you . Hear me

38:02

out , hear me out . Here's

38:05

some basic things that God has

38:07

provided and created

38:09

and put forward , and you're going to think

38:11

they're so natural , but I'm just going

38:13

to say they're simple things . Seven different

38:15

things Exercise , walk

38:21

, lift heavy things , Lift weights . We

38:24

used to normally lift heavy things , carry

38:26

water into the home , carry

38:30

buckets of sod , carry buckets

38:33

of water out to the field , whatever

38:35

it might be . We don't do that anymore . So I recommend

38:37

lift heavy

38:40

things , bench press

38:42

, do

38:45

deadlifts , squat

38:47

, do

38:55

these kinds of things to prove your strength . If you're older and

38:57

can't do it , simply just do air squats . Lift up water bottles . Bend

38:59

over to the ground and stand

39:02

up and lift water bottles . If you can only do it once

39:04

, do it once one day and then rest

39:06

a couple days and do it twice the next day

39:08

and then keep building on it . But walk

39:10

, lift heavy things , exercise

39:13

. We have to do this . Two

39:15

get outside

39:17

and get sunshine in the morning

39:19

and the evening . There's a lot

39:22

of studies that go into this , but getting

39:26

sunshine is critically important . If you just

39:28

sit in your house and you don't exercise , you're

39:30

going to get depressed . Stay

39:33

hydrated . Drink water . It

39:37

helps so many different processes

39:39

in your body . Four eat

39:41

a healthy , balanced diet . Eliminate

39:44

seed oils and increase

39:46

animal fats . Eat

39:49

fruits , eat vegetables , eat

39:54

natural foods . Five

39:57

communicate with your friends , your spouse and

39:59

your pastor . If you don't communicate and you hold

40:02

everything on the inside that

40:04

builds up and you blow up . Just

40:09

talk to people . God wants you to share

40:11

your life with

40:13

your spouse , with

40:16

your friends , with your pastor

40:18

. Use

40:21

that as a resource , as a tool . Six

40:23

spend time with friends Fellowship

40:26

, fellowship . Talk about

40:28

the word , talk about life , talk

40:31

about God's creation . Seven

40:35

make sure you're getting enough vitamin

40:37

D and take omega-3s

40:40

. These are seven

40:42

critical things . If you do that , along

40:53

with . You go to church , you pray , you seek God . These are simple things you can do to bring

40:55

healing to yourself , just

40:57

in a natural way . These are things that

40:59

God has provided , god has supplied . Now

41:03

let's look at how the Word of God speaks

41:05

about healing our minds and traumas . First , we have to

41:07

look at accountability and

41:10

blame . Psychology

41:12

seeks to find blame

41:14

for your behavior and put it

41:16

at the feet of others in order to bring healing

41:19

. It doesn't always

41:21

do that , and that's true . Many

41:23

times it lays the blame

41:25

on you and your wrong way of thinking

41:27

. All

41:30

right , let's look at what the Bible says Revelation

41:33

20

43:41

, 11 and 12

43:44

. And I saw a great white throne and him that sat on

43:46

it , from whose face the earth and the

43:48

heaven fled away and there was found no place

43:50

for them . And I saw the dead , small

43:52

and great , stand before God and the books were opened

43:54

. And another book was opened , which is

43:56

the book of life , and the dead were judged out of

43:58

those things which were written in the books , according

44:01

to their works . All

44:04

right , everyone is going to be

44:06

judged according to their works . God's not

44:08

going to stand and say be the chief psychologist

44:11

and say you know , you did this

44:13

because your dad and your grandfather

44:15

did this . No , you did that . You

44:18

chose to do that . Well , I couldn't help it . You could

44:20

because God has

44:22

a remedy and you refuse to take it . Verse 13

44:24

, and the sea gave up the

44:26

dead which were in it , and the death and hell delivered

44:29

up the dead which were in them , and

44:31

they were judged , every man , according to their

44:33

works , according

44:35

to their works . You're going to be judged according to your works

44:37

. But

44:39

I was coerced , my family , my no

44:42

stop . Stop with the modern pop

44:44

psychology . You will be judged for

44:46

your works . Matthew

44:49

12 , 36

44:52

through 38 . But I say unto you

44:54

that every idle word that men shall speak , they

44:56

shall give account thereof in the day of judgment , for

45:00

by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy

45:02

words thou shalt be condemned . Then

45:04

certain of the scribes and the Pharisees answered

45:06

saying Master , we would see a sign

45:09

from thee . They want to see a sign

45:11

, but Jesus shows them . You

45:13

are going to be judged by your

45:15

works , by

45:18

even your very words , by

45:21

even your very thoughts . Brother Branham says Romans

45:24

14 , verse 12 . So then , every one of us

45:26

shall give account of himself to God

45:28

. 1 Peter

45:31

, 4 , verse 5, . Who

45:33

shall give account to him that is ready to judge

45:36

the quick and the dead . Ezekiel

45:39

18 , 1-4, . The word

45:41

of the Lord came unto me saying what

45:43

mean ye that ye use this

45:45

proverb concerning the land of Israel saying

45:47

the fathers have eaten the sour

45:49

grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge

45:52

? As I live , saith the Lord . God

45:54

, you shall not have occasion anymore to use

45:56

this proverb in Israel . Behold

45:58

, all souls are mine . As the soul of

46:00

the father , so also the soul of the son

46:02

is mine . The soul that sinneth

46:04

it shall die . We're

46:10

all held to account for our own

46:12

actions , reactions , responses

46:14

, attitudes and thoughts and everything

46:16

that we do . We'll

46:19

not be asked by God who made you do that

46:22

? Or was that the result of what your father or

46:24

grandfather did ? Now

46:26

, again , a behavior

46:29

could be explained based

46:31

upon some outward response due to something

46:33

that happened in the past . But the fact remains God

46:36

will hold us personally accountable if

46:38

we are disobedient to his word , regardless

46:40

of the cause of it . So to

46:43

hold someone else accountable makes you merely

46:45

a victim of circumstances and

46:47

holds you captive to a behavior that

46:49

limits you and your status

46:51

. And holds you captive to a behavior that limits you and your status . God never seeks to

46:54

limit us based on what happened

46:56

to us . Instead

47:18

, he always provides a way of escape and deliverance . 1

47:20

Corinthians 10 , verses 12 and 13 . Now , this isn't speaking of all

47:22

mankind , this is speaking of Christians

47:24

who are filled with the Holy Ghost . He doesn't make

47:26

a way for everybody to escape temptation , but

47:29

he makes a way for Christians . He provides

47:31

a means for us to escape temptation , but he makes a way for Christians , provides a means for us to be delivered

47:33

from the temptation . And

47:36

look at this 2 Corinthians , chapter

47:39

1 , 8 through

47:42

11 . For

47:44

we would not , brethren , have you ignorant of our trouble

47:46

which came to us in Asia , that we

47:48

were pressed out of measure , above strength , insomuch

47:51

that we despaired even of life . We

47:53

had the sentence of death in ourselves , that

47:55

we should not trust in ourselves , but

47:57

in God , which raises the dead , who delivered

48:00

us from so great a death and

48:02

doth deliver , in whom we have trust that he will

48:04

yet deliver us . You also helping

48:06

together by prayer for us that for the gift

48:09

bestowed upon us by the means of many persons

48:11

, thanks

48:20

may be given by many on our behalf . We might be in horrible

48:22

situations . We might be pressed beyond measure , to where we

48:24

despair even of life , but

48:27

we have this sentence of death in ourselves

48:29

, not so that we wouldn't trust in ourselves

48:31

, but trust in God , and

48:33

God will provide that means

48:36

of deliverance . He'll provide

48:38

a remedy for pain , trauma , sorrow

48:40

and ways of thinking that are

48:42

contrary to his word

48:44

. And we're supposed to be transformed

48:46

by the renewing of our mind . Now

48:50

let's look at how God does

48:53

this . Isaiah

48:55

61 , 1-3 . The Spirit of the

48:57

Lord , god , is upon me because the Lord hath anointed

48:59

me to preach good tidings unto the meek . He

49:02

hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted , to proclaim

49:04

liberty to the captives and the opening of

49:06

the prison to them that are bound , to

49:09

proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and

49:25

the day of the vengeance of our God . To comfort all . He

49:28

didn't come to bring

49:30

psychology to us , to

49:33

change us from mourning

49:35

and heaviness to

49:37

joy and praise . What

49:40

did he do ? He brought the

49:42

Holy Ghost to us through his

49:45

blood to bring a transformation

49:47

. Well , sometimes Christians get depressed

49:50

and get the spirit of heaviness . By

49:53

his spirit , by his power

49:55

, he will set you free

49:57

from mourning and heaviness

49:59

. But

50:01

sometimes it's the very basic things of applying

50:04

the word of God and obedience that

50:06

we actually get deliverance . If

50:08

you simply apply the word , you're

50:11

set free . But if you refuse to

50:13

apply the word and you go after

50:15

psychology , you're going to be stuck

50:17

there because you're halfway , you're

50:20

on some kind of fence , seeking

50:22

to find deliverance man's way

50:24

and God's way . You can't find it in

50:26

sitting on the fence , you have to go God's way

50:29

. Isaiah 53

50:31

, 3 through 6, . He is despised and

50:33

rejected of men , a man of sorrows

50:36

and acquainted with grief , and we hid , as

50:38

it were , our faces from him . He was despised

50:40

and we esteemed him not . Surely he hath

50:42

borne our griefs and carried our sorrows . Yet

50:44

we did esteem him . Stricken , smitten

50:47

of God and afflicted . But he was

50:49

wounded for our transgressions , he was bruised

50:52

for our iniquities . This chastisement of our peace

50:54

was upon him and with his stripes

50:56

we are healed . Oh , we , like

50:58

sheep , have gone astray . We have turned everyone

51:01

to his own way , and the Lord hath

51:03

laid upon him the iniquity of us

51:05

all , our griefs and

51:08

our sorrows . Our

51:10

griefs and our sorrows are born by

51:12

him . He carries them . Cast

51:15

all your cares on him because he

51:17

cares for you . That's through prayer

51:19

that we cast our

51:21

cares on him . But

51:26

really the Bible is telling us right there , when

51:31

he went to Calvary . When he went to the cross and shed his blood for us , our

51:33

griefs and sorrows were put on him so that we could be

51:35

delivered from them . How

51:37

dare we go to the human

51:40

means to receive

51:42

something that God has ordained for us

51:45

to receive supernaturally ? All

51:48

right . Second

51:51

, corinthians 7 , 9-12

51:53

. Now I rejoice , not

51:55

that you were made sorry , but that you sorrowed to

51:58

repentance , for you were

52:00

made sorry after a godly manner that you might

52:02

receive damage by us in nothing , for godly

52:04

sorrow worketh repentance to salvation

52:07

, not to be repented of , but the sorrow of

52:09

the world worketh death . For

52:11

behold this self same thing that you sorrowed

52:13

after a godly sort . What carefulness

52:16

it wrought in you . Yea , what clearing of yourselves

52:18

. Yea , what indignation . Yea , what fear . Yea

52:20

, what vehement desire . Yea , what zeal

52:23

. Yea , what revenge In

52:25

all things you have approved yourselves . To

52:27

be clear in this matter , wherefore

52:30

, though , I wrote unto you ? I did not for this

52:32

cause that I had done the wrong

52:34

, nor for this cause that suffered

52:36

the wrong , but

52:38

that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you

52:40

. So it's not through . Look

52:43

at that . Sorrow leads

52:45

to repentance . We think sorrow

52:47

. Oh , something's wrong . We have to get psychotherapy

52:49

. Maybe I need some kind

52:52

of drugs . Maybe the sorrow is leading you to

52:54

repentance . It's

52:56

not through psychotherapy and psychotropic

52:59

drugs that we receive deliverance . That's

53:02

not in the scripture . Those are

53:04

poor replacements for the power of the

53:06

gospel and the deliverance that comes to

53:08

us through the supernatural Spirit

53:11

of God moving in our midst . If

53:14

we follow God's Word and use what he has provided

53:16

us with in this world , we won't

53:18

need a poor replacement based upon

53:20

atheism and evolution to heal and

53:23

help our problems . Though

53:26

on the short term some drugs may help , in the

53:28

long run healing must come from God , and those

53:30

places we have thinking that is

53:32

contrary to His Word needs to be transformed

53:34

. So we think with the mind of Christ

53:36

. It isn't a mere mental work that will change

53:39

us . It's the supernatural

53:42

power of God that will

53:44

truly bring transformation at the soul

53:46

level . Psychology

53:49

is about self-actualization

53:51

, affirming self , denying shame

53:53

and making one feel better in

53:56

their sin . All is antithetical

53:58

to god's word . Unfortunately

54:01

, feminism , modern psychology

54:03

so permeate our culture

54:05

that preaching is practically universally

54:07

corrupted by them . Modern

54:10

thought is saturated with modern

54:12

psychology . It puts

54:14

man at the center and seeks to please man

54:16

instead of seeking to please and glorify

54:19

God and redeem man by God's power

54:21

and joy comes

54:24

through full surrender

54:26

to Almighty God and

54:29

changing your desires

54:31

from the things of the world to the things of God

54:33

. When your desire has changed

54:35

and your joy is in God , then

54:38

, whatever comes your way , you can turn to

54:40

Him and worship , seek His face and

54:42

follow Him . Now I want to comment more . When

54:47

we live contrary to God's way

54:49

and God's Word , when

54:55

we live contrary to God's way and God's word , we automatically enter into this

54:57

place that we , in fact , are subject to depression , sorrow

55:00

, sadness , sitting and

55:03

I'm guilty of it sitting

55:05

on our phone , scrolling , scrolling

55:08

, scrolling , scrolling continuously

55:10

is not living the way God

55:12

designed us to live . God designed us to be outside

55:15

, to be in the sun , to

55:17

work hard to move our bodies , to

55:21

spend time in prayer , to spend time

55:23

in thought without being occupied by

55:25

something , to

55:29

spend time moving

55:31

in the sunshine , to

55:34

drink water , to

55:36

lift heavy things , to

55:38

talk to people direct face-to-face

55:40

, to

55:46

connect with our spouse , to

55:49

touch and to hold , to worship in

55:52

a community of people that love

55:54

God and love each other . See

56:02

, these are the things that lead to health and healing deliverance . He's designed us

56:04

to have our hearts filled . There's an empty

56:06

spot in our heart until the Holy Ghost comes in

56:08

. Get filled with the Holy Ghost and

56:10

follow God's order and God's plan and

56:13

deliverance will come . Health

56:15

and happiness will come . Do

56:18

it man's way and it produces

56:20

death . God's way is life . Don't

56:23

put man at the center . Put God at

56:25

the center and glorify

56:28

him with all your hearts . Well , thanks

56:30

for listening . God bless you .

From The Podcast

The Jason DeMars Podcast

The purpose of the Jason DeMars Podcast is to reveal the hidden mysteries of the Bible as uncovered through the ministry of Malachi 4 fulfilled in the life of William Branham.   This incredible ministry restored the true church to the original doctrine of the apostles. After this ministry, we are told that another ministry will rise. It will not be a one-man ministry but instead will be a five-fold ministry in a many-membered body. "These men, if they pick up This and goes out with It, they can make more sense to It, see, to bring It to a place you would. I just want to lay this Seed, then hope they make It come to Life." He speaks of the teaching ministry in this way, "Only one Thing to lead us, that’s the Holy Spirit. And we believe that the Holy Spirit leads through our leaders. If God set a—a…Holy Spirit set a teacher in the church, then if the Holy Spirit wants the church to know something, He’ll speak through the teacher. For the Holy Spirit…That’s what the teacher is ordained to do. Is that right? It’s ordained. That gift is in the church as a teacher and we should all listen to it until that gift goes to proving something that isn’t right in the Bible, then we have a right to question it." I take the Bible as my Absolute, and my purpose is to show the reality of the end-time message through its pages. We will take what has been revealed and apply it back to the Bible and our present time. This podcast is designed for the purpose to help you increase your revelation of the Word and, in so doing, cause you to  grow in your walk with Christ because we are living in the hour that the Bride of Christ is coming to full maturity in a fully manifested Word.
