Jen goes live with Mike Proctor: How one moment can change your life forever.

Mike Proctor's passion is helping others accomplish their goals. In fact, prior to making the move to #realestate, Mike worked in health clubs for over 12 years. He traveled to Florida to open two gyms and helped more people than he could count achieve their fitness goals. Working in the gym helped him identify his passion: coaching, training, and helping people accomplish any goal they set out to do.

Originally, he had no plans to change careers or leave the health and fitness industry. He got to do what he loved the most and got to workout everyday! Unfortunately, this all slammed to a halt when Mike got into a serious motorcycle accident. 

Due to his injuries, he was stuck on the couch in his living room, reliant on his family to take care of everything for him. However, this is where he realized how amazing his kids are. "I had these little human beings that loved me and were fun to be around.  So I told my wife I didn't want to go back to work, and I wanted to be an at home dad," said Mike. 

Once he healed from his injuries, and had been doing the at home dad stuff for a couple months, he wanted to fill his time while the kids were at school. As he was scrolling through Facebook, he came across a local recruiting agent for the brokerage he is with now. As he thought about how fun it would be to be an agent, he signed up for classes. Four months later, he had his #realestatelicense! 

Now, he gets to help people accomplish much bigger goals than when he was at the gym.  Life has a funny way of working things out... (;
