RACHEL'S JOURNEY:
Prior to launching She Owns It I really didn't show my face as the Founder of my first business. When I moved back to NZ and started She Owns It I decided I didn't want to hide anymore- that I would regret it if I didn't take the opportunity to land with a splash so to speak. So I put myself forward and the rapid growth that resulted was transformational.
I had Rosie, my third child (our happy surprise) in 2020, in the midst of Covid and in between lockdowns in Auckland. Business was 100% on the back burner and it has had a massive impact on both my energy towards it and my confidence. But I believe that (as long as you know that the dream is still the dream) THIS is the real impact moment for me and other women in the same position. Because if we can find the bold audacity to keep showing up for ourselves - even if society dictates our time has passed, the window is closed etc, THAT is the resilience that leads to real growth and change. Giving up on your dream, if it still remains your dream, is the loss.
