Elevate Your Perspective

Hello - this is Brooke Jack with today’s Joy Prescription Devotional to help you focus your heart on Jesus and His Truth.  Today’s scripture comes from Psalm 74, verses 13 & 16-17. 

"Did I keep my heart pure for nothing?  Did I keep myself innocent for no reason?...So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is!  Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked."

- Psalm 74:13;16-17, New Living Translation

Have you ever wondered why things were going so right for others when things in your own life seemed to be going so wrong? You are not alone. The psalmist battled doubt and uncertainty as he saw the enemies of God prospering. But once he went into the sanctuary of God, and gained a higher, more holy and eternal perspective, envy and bitterness no longer gnawed at his heart.

If you are battling jealousy, bitterness, or disappointment in your life, I encourage you to elevate your perspective!  Humbly posture yourself in the presence of God and receive His counsel. I am confident you will come away encouraged that the Lord is securely holding you, leading you into a beautiful destiny.
