Welcome to The Kelly Roach Show, the

0:07

place for no fluff, easy to implement, 20

0:09

minute or less business

0:12

and leadership lessons to help you

0:14

build a sustainable business that scales

0:17

lead with integrity and create

0:19

a lasting legacy. I'm Kelly

0:22

Roach, former NFL cheerleader and

0:24

Fortune 500 executive turned eight

0:26

figure entrepreneur. Let's get

0:28

started. Welcome

0:31

back. This is the next

0:33

episode in this incredible series

0:35

on expanding your personal

0:37

capacity and stepping into what it

0:40

really takes the internal shifts that

0:42

are necessary to build a

0:44

multi-year six, seven, even eight figure business.

0:46

And it's so important that we take

0:49

the time here on the show

0:51

to not just talk about the external

0:53

strategy of launching or social media

0:55

that converts or building a winning team,

0:57

which we talk about all of

0:59

those things extensively here on The Kelly

1:02

Roach Show. But we

1:04

also have to have these really

1:06

raw and honest conversations about what

1:09

it actually takes from personal development

1:11

standpoint, who is the person that

1:13

you need to be or the person

1:15

that you need to become in order

1:18

to live out the dreams that you

1:20

aspire to. And that's really what this

1:22

series is designed to support you in

1:25

doing. Now I want

1:27

to remind you that if at any point

1:29

listening to this episode, you were like, wow,

1:31

I am ready. I want to

1:33

shatter my glass ceilings. I need to work

1:35

with either you or your team or get

1:38

help on any one of these areas that

1:40

we're mentioning. I want you to scroll down

1:42

in the show notes below this episode and

1:45

click to book a call. As

1:47

I think you all know, as listeners

1:49

of the show, I have six companies

1:51

and each of them help entrepreneurs solve

1:53

a different problem in their

1:55

entrepreneurial journey. And each of my companies

1:58

have one core focus in solving

2:00

something that is going to

2:02

absolutely transform your life as

2:04

an entrepreneur. Whether it's

2:07

around building a team or whether it's

2:09

around your own personal growth, whether it's

2:11

around your launch strategy or getting the

2:13

business fundamentals in place to get your

2:15

business growing, maybe it's around

2:17

building a winning network so that you

2:19

can build referrals in your business. We

2:21

have a solution for you. If at

2:23

any point during today's episode, you're ready

2:26

to take action, I want you to

2:28

scroll down in the show notes and

2:30

book a call with my team so

2:32

that we can see how we can

2:34

help you diagnose the problem, identify the

2:36

solution and get you on the way

2:38

to making your dreams come true. So

2:40

in today's episode, we're really focused on

2:42

expanding your personal capacity. And

2:45

this has really come up a lot

2:47

in the last couple months because I

2:49

hear from entrepreneurs every day of the

2:52

week that say, I am

2:54

spent. I

2:56

don't have bandwidth. I am overwhelmed. I

2:58

am exhausted. And there

3:01

are both physical demands that create

3:03

capacity holdups. And then there are

3:05

mental demands that stand in the

3:07

way of us expanding our personal

3:09

capacity. But the bottom line is,

3:12

if you want more clients, if

3:14

you want to have more profits, if

3:17

you want to make more money, you want to create room

3:19

for more in your life, it's going

3:21

to require expanding your personal capacity. Period.

3:24

There's no workaround for it. If

3:28

you're telling me that you are

3:31

burnout, you're overwhelmed, you feel like

3:33

you have a scarcity of time

3:35

now, then what would happen

3:37

if you went and brought in those hundred clients

3:39

that you desire for your business?

3:42

It wouldn't go well, right? It would

3:44

not go well because you already don't

3:46

have the capacity. You would lose those

3:48

clients as fast as you gained them.

3:51

And a lot of business leaders don't understand

3:53

this. They don't understand that. If

3:55

you don't expand your capacity to be able to

3:57

support the new level of success that you desire,

4:00

where even if you start to

4:02

create that new level of success, you'll continually

4:04

revert right back to where you were. And

4:06

in fact, this is a trend that many

4:08

entrepreneurs have experienced where they have that high,

4:11

high, they have that big breakthrough, they get

4:13

that next level of success, and

4:15

all of a sudden it leaves them as

4:17

fast as it came to them, and it's

4:19

because they didn't have the capacity to sustain

4:21

and retain it, right? So, so

4:24

many times, business owners aspire to

4:26

reach new heights, but they

4:28

lack the capacity. They don't have the

4:30

energetic capacity to lead at that new

4:33

level. And it's really

4:35

important to get clear that

4:37

in order to make significant leaps, like

4:39

going from seven to eight figures, which

4:41

is a 10x increase

4:43

in staff, customers, and responsibility,

4:46

your personal capacity is make or break. Same

4:49

thing when you go from six to seven

4:51

figures. A lot of people don't equate for

4:53

this. They don't account for this, and then

4:55

they wonder why it's not happening. And

4:58

this really ties back to what

5:00

we talked about on the last

5:02

episode in this series, where we

5:04

talked about channeling your energy effectively

5:06

versus allowing it to be drained.

5:08

Developing emotional control is a huge

5:10

part of

5:12

how you're gonna start seeing these breakthroughs in the

5:14

growth of your business. Also,

5:17

prioritizing your mental and

5:20

physical health. Time for your

5:22

faith, time for your family,

5:24

and your other personal values. And

5:26

what I wanna encourage you to do as

5:29

you're sitting here today is to ask yourself, I

5:31

know that you know your values. Maybe

5:34

you say to yourself, I value freedom. I

5:37

value time, location. I value being

5:39

able to be present with my

5:42

family. You know what the values

5:44

are that you have. The

5:46

question is, does your life

5:49

actually reflect those values right now? And

5:52

I know that's really tough because we all wanna think

5:54

that we're living our values at any given time. We

5:57

all wanna think that, of course, we exemplify those values.

6:00

But you have to ask yourself, are you

6:02

actually living them each day? Why

6:04

or why not? And that's

6:06

what a lot of this is about as well, because to

6:09

build your dream life, the

6:11

revenue or the profit or the income

6:14

component of that is one itty

6:16

bitty sliver. Now, is it

6:18

a really important one? Yes. Is

6:21

it one that impacts everything else? Yes.

6:24

But if you have a

6:27

one dimensional approach to success, and

6:29

that only includes revenue, growth

6:31

in your business income, but

6:33

you don't have a balance of

6:35

time on family and faith and

6:37

other personal values, you're going to

6:39

be miserable. You're going to be

6:41

miserable even having that level of success.

6:44

And that's why so many entrepreneurs have

6:46

these high levels of success and yet

6:48

still don't feel fulfilled, still don't feel

6:50

happy with the progress or success that

6:52

they've created because they're not living their

6:54

values. So make some notes

6:56

now as you're listening to this episode of

6:58

how maybe you could live your values more

7:01

closely and what might that look like for

7:03

you? Now, one

7:05

of the things that I think

7:07

can make a really big difference in

7:10

the entrepreneurial community is making the

7:12

shift from thinking about your business

7:14

as a career to thinking

7:17

about your business as a vocation, because

7:19

a lot of times our traditional way of thinking about

7:21

work, there's a start and an end with

7:24

the goal being retirement. And so people

7:26

want to run as fast and as hard as they

7:28

possibly can to get out as quick as they possibly

7:30

can. Whereas with a vocation, it

7:32

tends to be something that you do for the rest of

7:34

your life, which means your patient,

7:37

your persistent, your balanced,

7:40

you have many other components of your life

7:42

that are happening in

7:45

conjunction with you building your

7:47

business, which then allows for

7:49

the ability to integrate other

7:51

things that matter to you. So

7:54

staying engaged in your business and

7:56

sustaining your creative capacity also hinges

7:58

very much. on

8:00

managing your emotions and

8:03

your capacity as you respond to business

8:05

challenges. Right? If everything

8:07

that comes up in the business

8:09

takes all of your energy, takes

8:12

all of you to deal

8:14

with, there's nothing left to

8:16

create. There's nothing left to be

8:19

fulfilled or excited about in

8:21

your entrepreneurial journey. And

8:23

one of the things that I've really witnessed

8:25

very closely over and over again is that

8:27

a key differentiator between those who kind of

8:30

stay stuck in the six

8:33

or seven figures versus those who

8:35

advance to eight figures is

8:37

that the CEOs have

8:39

a very proactive approach,

8:42

especially with regards to three core

8:45

things, team building, sales

8:47

systems, and outbound marketing. Those

8:50

that tend to do it haphazardly,

8:52

inconsistently, or kind of from

8:55

the standpoint of kind of checking the box, doing

8:57

it, but not really doing it, they

8:59

never really tend to take off. Whereas

9:01

those that get really

9:04

wildly consistent and

9:06

have a structure, they have a

9:08

system, it's scalable, they're fully committed

9:10

to it, they're all in on

9:12

it, those people tend to be

9:14

able to eclipse those higher levels

9:16

of success that just seem

9:19

to be unreachable for

9:21

the vast majority of people. Okay?

9:24

And I want you to know that it is possible

9:26

for you, whatever level of success you want to create,

9:28

whatever level of income you want to experience, it's

9:30

possible for you, but it's really

9:32

understanding that there's all of this inside

9:35

work and kind of change of perspective

9:37

that has to happen in order to set you up

9:39

to be able to create that. And

9:42

when I say that these eight

9:44

figure CEOs or even high multiple

9:46

seven figure CEOs are very proactive

9:48

about team and sales and outbound

9:51

marketing, they have developed the ability,

9:53

the capacity to manage their emotions

9:55

when things go wrong, when

9:58

team members fail them, things

10:00

blow up, when systems break,

10:03

when investments don't work out,

10:05

when you know issues arise.

10:08

So I want you to assess how actively you

10:11

are really pushing forward in areas like

10:13

marketing, social media growth, and team development.

10:16

Even investing in the team that you have

10:18

and challenging them and demanding the

10:20

level of excellence that you feel is required

10:22

to take the business to where you want

10:24

it to go next. Additionally,

10:26

I want to remind you that often

10:29

the simplest plan for your business is

10:31

the most effective one. One

10:34

of the things that creates a

10:36

tangled web that keeps people stuck

10:38

in the six and low seven

10:40

figures is too much complexity.

10:43

And it's one of the main reasons actually

10:45

why I split out my other companies because

10:47

I really recognize that for

10:49

me as a business leader having run 17

10:52

locations before in corporate that were essentially

10:54

each like their own little multi-million dollar

10:56

business, it's a lot easier

10:59

to have several small

11:01

businesses once you learn P&L

11:04

management and staffing and sales and marketing

11:07

than it is to have one you

11:09

know kind of bohemoth. And

11:11

what happens so often inside businesses

11:13

is that you're just trying to

11:16

do too much. You're just

11:18

trying to do too much and because

11:20

of that nothing is really getting done

11:22

and getting done well. And

11:24

I realized that my personal capacity was

11:26

surpassing the capacity of my team and

11:29

so it was creating chaos because what

11:31

I wanted to execute on and what

11:33

I saw as the vision and what

11:35

I knew is possible for us to

11:37

do, it wasn't happening. We

11:39

needed to simplify and I needed to

11:42

be able to set up different

11:44

teams to be able to execute

11:46

on different priorities that were important to me

11:49

where each team could really have their one

11:51

thing that they were going to be the

11:53

best in the world at, go all in

11:55

on, and get to where we wanted to

11:58

be overall. And So. I

12:00

would really ask you to challenge yourself. To.

12:02

Look out, where are the areas of

12:05

your business are aware? Maybe there's more

12:07

complexity? Then belongs because that

12:09

is one of the biggest things

12:11

that will hold your business back

12:13

from growing. And. A lotta

12:15

times when a business isn't growing quickly

12:17

enough. Or. When the business is

12:19

underperforming, that's when we had all these letters

12:22

of complexity is are trying all these different

12:24

things to change that is is back on

12:26

track. Nothing wrong with that because you have

12:28

to solve the problem. You have to get

12:30

clear on what is going to make the

12:32

biggest difference for you, but then you have

12:35

to dial it in. You.

12:37

Have to bring it back and most people never

12:39

del. Rey. I will

12:41

also tell you that the majority

12:43

of our clients un from seven

12:45

to multiple seven figures are seventy

12:47

eight figures achieved as through a

12:49

single core live launch. An

12:52

our role was the whole them to refine

12:54

and scale this launch build a winning team

12:56

around it. developed the necessary Ceo skills and

12:59

managed to business to that level. right?

13:02

And. So again I always say

13:04

that as a bite. Complexity

13:06

tells simplicity skills. The. More

13:08

you can simplify the way that you're

13:11

setting up your growth strategy, the more

13:13

likely that you in the team will

13:15

have success in executing it. So.

13:18

A lot of while me see

13:20

our clients having high levels of

13:23

success. It's not because they're creating

13:25

multiple new products, are establishing different

13:27

companies are different divisions, by the

13:29

way. I didn't do that until

13:31

we were already wildly successful. Mildly

13:33

profitable. And had a leadership p and

13:35

and we had tenure on the team and we

13:37

had all these of things happening. It. Was

13:39

only then that I began separating out these

13:42

other companies that we have today. But

13:44

for our clients, it was largely

13:46

the outcome of focusing on one

13:48

primary sergey. Run one

13:51

for Launch One flagship.

13:53

Product. And then you know,

13:55

maybe a feeder program to support x

13:57

ray. So. Image.

14:00

journey from seven to eight figures,

14:02

many spend years pursuing the

14:05

newest online tactics, hoping to

14:07

find the secret formula. So

14:10

many have fallen in the trap of paying 30, 40,

14:13

$50,000 to build a funnel or to

14:15

go viral or to pay these people

14:17

that are going to do this done

14:19

for you stuff for them. And it

14:21

never typically pans out. Okay.

14:23

What I will say is if you already

14:26

reached seven figures through your efforts,

14:28

the transition to eight figures is

14:30

likely going to come from internal

14:32

leadership changes. And that is what

14:34

is so interesting. And this really

14:36

applies even if you're at seven

14:38

going to multiple seven figures. And

14:41

even the people that I see that make it to like the $500,000 mark

14:44

that struggle to make it

14:46

to a million or a million and struggle to make

14:48

it to a million five, it's almost

14:50

always a leadership issue. And

14:53

they say it's a team issue. And it's a

14:55

team issue because of a leadership issue. That's why

14:57

it's a team issue. Right. So

15:00

keep that in mind as we progress

15:02

through these conversations. But the

15:04

bottom line is that your capacity, you

15:06

start off every day with a pie.

15:09

And at the beginning of the day, you have 100% of

15:11

your personal capacity

15:13

available for growth for creativity

15:15

for innovation for disruption, for

15:17

selling for closing, whatever the

15:19

case. And then literally

15:22

every single issue that comes up,

15:24

every single fire you have to

15:26

put out every single text message,

15:28

phone call, email is dinging

15:30

your personal capacity, right? But

15:33

what you will have to learn from

15:35

a leadership standpoint is that great leaders

15:37

have the ability to deal

15:39

with 1000s of little things that come

15:41

up each and every day.

15:44

Okay, without assigning large amounts of

15:46

emotion to them. And that's how

15:49

they preserve capacity for driving

15:51

creativity, innovation and growth.

15:55

And so developing your emotional control

15:57

as a leader Is an

15:59

absolute. The central piece of how

16:01

this is gonna habits. And

16:03

so many people kill themselves facing the

16:06

next course. The next strategy. today it's

16:08

pincher as tomorrow it's going by and

16:10

the next say it's tic tac and

16:12

then it's you to them as a

16:14

funnel and then it's a new website

16:16

and menaces. You know, new as Us energy

16:18

and it's like nothing is going to cheat and. Because.

16:22

If you bought one launch that was working

16:24

for you, eighty percent of your revenue growth

16:26

is gonna come from that. But

16:28

the truth is is that you need the

16:30

capacity to lead up the next level and

16:32

you need the right team to be able

16:34

to support the growth of the clients that

16:36

can potentially come from. That. And if

16:38

you did those two things, it would eliminate

16:40

ninety nine of the other things that you

16:43

are trying to do in pursuit of that

16:45

one day. So.

16:48

You. Know we've given you five kind

16:50

of course. Yes, Throughout.

16:52

This series to focus on to

16:55

help you go from six to

16:57

seventy figures. To me that

16:59

internal chef necessary to be com

17:02

a multimillion dollar. Be. Driven

17:04

leader or that is gonna sue or

17:06

to your highest capacity. We talked about

17:08

keeping business simple. We. Talked about

17:11

the power of kind of the rules

17:13

of the game. By. Multiplying duplicate

17:15

what it takes to truly do that like

17:17

what is it paid to multiply and it

17:19

like a we talked about Hunan how. Such.

17:22

An important principle of game changing.

17:25

Printable we talked about use stepping

17:27

into visionary leadership and exactly what.

17:29

The ten principles of a visionary leader.

17:32

It look like image. We.

17:34

To have you are making sure that

17:36

your energy is carefully channeled. And.

17:38

Not depleted. And. How

17:40

to own that as a Cel? How

17:43

to own not as a business leader?

17:45

Which out about done being better

17:48

than perfect. right? Without

17:50

about how to stop creating chaos

17:52

in your own organization. Ray.

17:54

by focusing on majoring in the majors not

17:56

majoring in the minors and what that really

17:59

look side And of

18:01

course, in today's session, we

18:03

talked about expanding your personal

18:05

capacity. So for service

18:08

business owners that are unfamiliar

18:10

with the Live Launch Method,

18:12

obviously that is the most

18:14

powerful methodology that I have

18:16

ever discovered in terms of

18:18

how you can simplify

18:20

your scale strategy and take it to new

18:23

heights. I know a lot of you that

18:25

have been following me for years have been

18:27

studying under me and have studied the Live

18:29

Launch Method. But

18:31

Kairos is really the next evolution

18:33

built on top of that, which

18:35

is about the internal

18:37

work, right? The healing work, the

18:40

internal work, the leadership capability, the

18:42

personal growth, the wealth mindset, all

18:44

of those things that are what

18:47

I call like the secrets behind

18:49

the secrets that are so essential

18:51

for growth. So we're not

18:53

open for registration for that now, but

18:55

down in the show notes below this

18:57

episode today, you can get on the

18:59

wait list so that you get notified.

19:02

We're going to be opening up again in the

19:04

fall. And of course, we have

19:06

the Kairos Leadership Facebook group. I would love for

19:09

all of you to come and join us there

19:11

now. And I share unique and

19:13

valuable insights there that are going to make a

19:15

huge difference for you. But as

19:17

I mentioned earlier, we have

19:19

solutions for entrepreneurs from inception

19:22

to upset. And our

19:24

goal above all else is to help

19:26

you grow. The words

19:28

that we want to own in your mind

19:30

and that we want you to know about

19:32

all of the companies in my portfolio is

19:35

that we are here to help you grow,

19:37

to maximize your potential, to achieve the highest

19:39

level of success that you're possibly capable of,

19:42

and to step into the level of leadership

19:44

required to do that. So if you listen

19:46

to this episode today and you feel inspired

19:48

to take action, scroll down below and book

19:50

a call with my team and we will

19:52

diagnose what is the true thing that would

19:54

make the biggest difference for you right now.

19:57

And we can make some recommendations on what we

19:59

do. next steps are going to help

20:01

you shatter your own glass ceiling and

20:04

really leap forward into what's next for

20:06

you. So I hope this

20:08

episode was helpful. Thanks so much for

20:10

tuning in and I'll see you back here soon. Thank

20:15

you so much for listening to the

20:17

20:28

content that we show here. We're

20:31

on our way to number one and we need your

20:33

help getting there. Thanks so much
