The series is intended to teach attendees practical do-it-yourself skills that promote health, financial savings, and general self-reliance. The class is divided into thee parts.

In part three, Amy demonstrates and talks about canning two simple and staple items most people have in their food pantries, namely beans and chicken.  She also takes time to answer several questions from the audience.
