Claire Ryan's love for all things outdoor and adventure started in her early 20's. She's a secondary school teacher who changed career to become a photographer who changed again to go back to teaching. She was never very sporty growing up and describes herself as an introvert who always enjoyed being outdoors and loves to challenge herself. 
Claire is now in her "very early 40's" and loves the outdoors, adventure, hiking, swimming and has taken part in many "Ice Miles" - The Ice Mile is the International Ice Swimming Association’s ultimate achievement where each swimmer has to complete an endurance swim in water with a temperature of 5°c or less.
