0:01

Hey, hey, lurid listeners. Welcome back

0:03

to the Kiss Me Quick's Erotica

0:05

Podcast. This is your

0:07

host, Rose Caraway. Big

0:10

Daddy is unable to join us today.

0:12

He is out

0:14

slaying dragons, so it's just

0:16

you and me and

0:19

a new kind

0:21

of KMQ episode.

0:25

I've got something new. I kind of want to, I

0:28

was explaining it to Big Daddy yesterday, I kind

0:30

of want to raw dog you guys with it.

0:32

So I hope that you'll, I

0:34

hope you'll be cool. I think you'll have fun. I know

0:36

I'm going to have fun. Today's

0:39

story is going to be a

0:41

little different. I

0:45

kind of had an

0:47

epiphany in August and

0:50

it occurred to me, you know, I don't

0:52

get to really fully share like

0:57

my sexuality with you guys. You

0:59

kind of know, like, especially if

1:01

you've been listening to the show,

1:04

certainly from the beginning, but I pull

1:07

the stories that

1:09

I write from dreams that I have.

1:11

So actual dreams that I have, that's

1:14

where I get all

1:16

the stories that I write for the show. So

1:20

I thought, you know, I'm, I'm

1:22

sitting out there in my apiary and

1:24

I'm just thinking and kind of chewing

1:27

on this idea. Why haven't

1:31

I like fully shared

1:34

that part of myself

1:37

with you guys? Like my Lord listeners, the

1:39

people that I trust the most. I

1:42

know you trust me to have a good time. So I

1:45

feel like it's time, maybe

1:47

it's overdue. So

1:49

I put together a little blog

1:51

post because this is what I'm going to do

1:54

moving forward to fill the space for you

1:56

guys because I feel bad we're, we're not

1:58

as regular. So I'd like do this every

2:00

week. I can. Maybe

2:02

even twice a week. I don't know. I've got so many

2:04

dreams. Like I'm not short on these. So

2:07

that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to

2:09

put together a blog post and I'm going to

2:11

read it to you to better

2:13

explain what to expect. And

2:16

then I'm going to jump right into the

2:19

actual dream that I had been

2:21

journaling on the day of this

2:23

epiphany because I just feel like

2:25

it was, that's how I'm supposed

2:27

to do it. So that's what

2:29

I'm going to do. So if

2:31

you have subscribed to our newsletter

2:34

at the Kiss Me Quicks dot

2:36

com, you will get this

2:38

delivered to your inbox. So

2:40

here I go. Here is the

2:43

introduction to this Dreamtime KMQ

2:45

episode. I'm titling it pulling

2:47

the covers back on Dreamtime,

2:49

a writer's journey

2:52

into unfiltered creativity.

2:55

Here we go. In

2:58

the quiet moments between the

3:00

episodes of life, we

3:03

often search for inspiration, don't we?

3:05

A connection to

3:07

our innermost creative selves. For

3:10

me, this takes the form

3:12

of a ritual I've practiced for

3:14

many years. My

3:16

morning dream time journaling. Do

3:20

you remember your dreams? What

3:22

tales did they tell? Do you

3:24

ever write them down? Do you

3:26

ever try to find meaning in your dreams?

3:30

How often do you dream about sex?

3:33

Have you ever experienced the

3:35

eerie embrace of a night terror

3:38

where you're aware of being in a

3:40

dream yet you're unable to wake up?

3:43

I've captured some of those haunting moments

3:46

in my journals. Do

3:48

you ever dream on purpose to

3:50

further a story along or to

3:53

solve a plot problem or

3:55

to find just the right dialogue between

3:57

characters? I sure do. Dreamtime

4:01

has always been a sort

4:03

of sanctuary for me, from

4:06

my childhood to the present.

4:09

It's the realm where I

4:11

run free in landscapes heavily

4:13

entwined with the wild threads

4:16

of my sexuality. It's

4:19

a place I've never entirely

4:22

opened up about, a

4:24

territory I've kept preciously

4:26

guarded until now. For

4:29

over a decade, I've been the

4:31

voice behind the Kiss Me Quakes

4:33

Erotica podcast, weaving and

4:36

narrating sensual tales to

4:38

my lurid listeners. And

4:40

recently, I've been contemplating

4:43

a few things—my spiritual

4:45

self, my erotic

4:47

self, my writerly

4:49

self, and the Kiss Me

4:51

Quakes podcast. This year,

4:54

on August 22nd, at about 6.30

4:57

in the morning, after I'd finished

5:00

journaling, an epiphany struck.

5:03

I've never fully exposed my erotic

5:05

self to my lurid listeners. Why

5:08

is that? I've

5:11

interviewed numerous authors and listened

5:13

to dozens more discussing

5:16

their writing habits, techniques,

5:18

methods, and strategies. I've

5:21

always found it fascinating to learn how

5:23

other writers write. I've

5:25

also purchased and read probably

5:28

far too many how-to-write reference

5:30

books, all in an effort

5:32

to write better. And

5:35

this exposure has helped me add

5:37

to my writer's toolbox, but

5:39

I have yet to encounter a

5:42

kindred spirit who shares

5:45

my seemingly unorthodox approach

5:47

to writing. Anyways,

5:50

whether or not I'm some

5:52

kind of writerly unicorn, it's

5:54

high time I shared these

5:57

unedited dreams of mine. because

6:00

I believe it'll be fun. Plus,

6:02

you'll get more frequent KMQ

6:05

episodes instead of waiting around for me

6:07

to rework, rewrite, and edit

6:09

a professionally prepared story. But

6:12

I wonder, are you,

6:14

my beautiful KMQ Lord listeners,

6:17

up for this level of intimacy?

6:20

Because this is crazy, exciting,

6:23

unfiltered, unedited characters

6:25

and plotlines play

6:28

out within the erotic

6:30

dreamtime recesses of my

6:32

mind. I

6:34

ask you this because while you

6:36

are presumably an adult who already

6:39

enjoys the erotic storytelling content Big

6:41

Daddy and I provide on the

6:43

podcast, this

6:45

new dreamtime experience

6:48

is going to show you how

6:50

the sausage is made, so to speak.

6:54

What I have in mind is not going to

6:56

be like me showing you a bunch of boring

6:58

baby pictures or dozens of tedious

7:00

vacation pictures. This will

7:03

be us having a little fun

7:05

with me reading to you exactly

7:07

the kind of thing I read to

7:10

my husband all those

7:12

years ago that inspired to

7:14

think we should do a

7:16

podcast. It's

7:18

between our normal KMQ

7:20

episodes that I'm inviting

7:22

you to experience my

7:25

adventuresome erotic dreams in

7:27

their rawest form, unfiltered

7:30

and unedited. I'll

7:32

read to you directly from my journals,

7:34

whether it's a mere page or

7:37

an extensive narrative spanning 10 or

7:39

even 20 pages. Sometimes

7:42

that's how the dreams are. For privacy,

7:44

however, the names of

7:46

friends and family will be altered,

7:49

except for dreams where my husband

7:51

Big Daddy appears. But

7:54

when it comes to movie stars or

7:56

other famous figures, all

7:59

bets are off, their

8:01

names will remain as

8:04

they often play an integral

8:06

part in my dreamscapes. So

8:09

let me pull back the covers

8:11

and invite you into the treasure

8:13

trove of my erotic mind. My

8:17

dream time. Okay,

8:20

so that's the blog post that you're going to get. Now

8:22

I'm going to open up my journal. I got to put

8:24

my iPad away. I'm going to drop it on

8:26

the floor. Here's a thud. Okay,

8:29

and then I got to

8:31

open my book. Okay. The

8:36

cat was laying on it earlier, so it

8:38

opens really much to the right page. Okay.

8:42

All right. So this is

8:44

an untitled dream that I had

8:46

on August, well, the morning of

8:48

during that fabulous REM sleep, the

8:50

morning of August 27, 22nd this

8:52

year. Here we go. I'm going

8:54

to turn the light up

8:59

so I can read it right in purple ink. So

9:01

it's hard to see in a red room.

9:03

Okay. So

9:06

maybe before I get started,

9:10

if you're not doing anything good, sit

9:12

down, maybe even just close your eyes, try

9:16

to put yourself

9:18

in dream time. Like lay

9:20

down, close your eyes. I know we do

9:22

this all the time with our stories. Like

9:24

let me inject you with this, but seriously,

9:27

this is actually the dream.

9:29

As fresh as it was, I opened

9:31

my eyes. I got up. I went

9:34

to my desk. I grabbed my journal,

9:36

my pen, turned my light on and

9:38

sat down and wrote. I did not

9:40

have any coffee before doing this. So

9:43

I know I'm so selling it, but

9:46

just trust me, close your eyes, sit down, try

9:48

to put

9:50

yourself in dream time as I read this to

9:53

you. Here we go. A

9:57

priestess is helping me get ready. Suburbia.

10:02

Home. She's

10:04

carrying a deli-wrapped steak.

10:07

It's an expensive slice. I

10:10

can tell by the bougie butcher paper. I'm

10:13

undressing while she waits. We

10:16

are trying to lure a werewolf.

10:19

She is the breeder of werewolves and

10:21

knows that the one I have chosen

10:23

is on its way to me. She

10:26

puts my small dog into another

10:28

room but recommends that my neighbor

10:31

watches the dog for the night. It's

10:33

too tempting a morsel for the werewolf.

10:36

I agree and she makes the call for

10:38

me. I'm nervous. Things

10:41

could go horribly wrong if the werewolf doesn't

10:43

choose to mate with me. Instead

10:46

of just one love bite, it

10:49

could very easily maim or kill

10:51

me instead. But I

10:53

trust the priestess. That

10:55

she's made a good match in us. She

10:58

told me that he was here. Her

11:01

bond with the creature was still in

11:03

effect. But then I hear

11:06

a howl. The howl

11:08

is low, smooth,

11:11

a hunter approaching, on

11:13

the scent for me. It's

11:15

proof that I have chosen well and the

11:18

sound of it wraps around my bones, quickens

11:20

my heart rate. I

11:22

yank down my panties and then slide into

11:24

bed. The priestess

11:26

unwraps the stake and after I've settled

11:28

beneath the covers, she places

11:30

the fatty edge into my mouth.

11:34

Another howl comes. He's

11:36

closer. For a second, I

11:38

see fear flash in the priestess'

11:41

eyes. She needs to leave and

11:43

take my dog to the neighbor. Time

11:45

is running short. My love will

11:47

be here soon. I

11:49

worry that the doors are locked. The

11:52

priestess says, yes, he must break into

11:54

the house as he must break your skin.

11:56

A shiver runs down

11:58

my spine. A howl comes again. This

12:00

time I know he has found my street. She

12:04

scoops up my dog and leaves. I wait. I

12:07

close my eyes, seized by fear. I feel the

12:09

pain of the window.

12:26

I close my eyes, seized by

12:28

fear. I feel the

12:30

beast's gaze through the window. I

12:33

let the saliva fill my mouth

12:35

and then push the warm fluid

12:37

out using my tongue. The

12:40

steak-stained fluid runs down my

12:42

chin, the sides of my

12:44

cheeks. Another howl comes,

12:46

this time vibrating against my eardrums

12:49

until they itch deep

12:51

inside. It's a different sound this

12:53

time. Excitement places the

12:55

animal's voice and I can

12:58

only squeeze my eyes closed

13:00

tighter. I must not

13:02

make eye contact. In

13:04

this form, werewolves will not

13:06

stand for it unless they

13:08

are made it to you. Then they

13:10

desire it most. They

13:13

need you to see the monster that

13:15

they are. If I

13:17

were to open my eyes before he claims

13:19

me, if I see his inhumanity,

13:21

he would shred me to pieces.

13:25

My bedroom window shatters, glass flies

13:27

onto my bed. I am

13:29

shivering. Some sound escapes

13:32

my meat-stuffed mouth. I

13:35

know the werewolf has hurt me. It

13:37

growls as it climbs onto my

13:39

bed, testing my resolve. Hot

13:42

breath blasts against my face

13:45

as it licks the steak saliva from

13:47

my now sweaty skin. As

13:50

it rakes my blankets slowly down

13:52

to expose the rest of my

13:55

vulnerable body, I want

13:57

to scream. Pain suddenly

13:59

falls. This ears my shoulder, down

14:01

my ribs, across my thigh,

14:03

as the beasts' claws draw

14:06

blood. This will

14:08

result in scars, I know. I

14:11

want them. I want all the scars.

14:13

And if this ceremony goes as

14:16

planned, we will both revel

14:18

in his marks for hundreds of

14:20

years to come. The

14:24

stake is ripped from my mouth. Together

14:27

we chew. Him, the larger portion,

14:30

me, the bit of fatty edge,

14:33

and my teeth had been sunken into. My

14:35

skin erupts and goosebumps, and

14:38

the textures of his long, rough

14:40

fur is balmy,

14:43

hot, stake-laden breath,

14:46

and his very heavy weight comes

14:48

down upon me. He's

14:50

sniffing for the perfect place to bite me now.

14:54

Still, I must keep my eyes

14:56

closed. I must allow him

14:58

to choose me. I

15:01

wait. Wherever he

15:03

bites, it will be perfect.

15:06

Our love will be perfection.

15:09

Suburbia will never be the

15:11

same. That's

15:19

it. That's the dream I had.

15:22

And if I were

15:24

to make

15:26

this into a K.M.Q. episode, there

15:30

are parts of it that feel very

15:32

visceral, and I would expound on those.

15:35

I would definitely add, you know,

15:38

obvious sex in there, but I

15:40

don't know if I would want it

15:42

to be with the werewolf or

15:44

have him change after maybe he

15:47

bites me into a man. And

15:49

then we sort of seal the deal with

15:52

some, you know, huntin' sweaty sex. So

15:54

this is my jumping off point. This

15:57

is the type of dream that I have. the

16:01

time. I've got journals and journals

16:03

and journals of these things and

16:06

I want to share them with you at

16:08

least once a week to

16:10

fill the spaces where in between

16:12

our regular KMQ episodes. I hope

16:15

that's okay with you. I'm ready

16:17

to do it. I'm finally ready.

16:19

I'm braving this new path and

16:22

I hope that you'll you'll join me. If you

16:25

want to reach out to me,

16:27

follow me on Twitter at the

16:29

KMQ or at Rose Caraway. Subscribe

16:31

to our newsletter at the

16:34

kissmequicks.com. You can email

16:36

me the

16:38

[email protected]. You can I don't

16:40

know write in the comment

16:43

section of the blog post

16:45

that you get in your

16:47

email. Ask me questions. You

16:51

know if you are a

16:54

dream analyzer and you want to

16:56

analyze that dream, go

16:58

for it. If

17:00

I had spicy food the night before, I don't

17:02

know. If I it's whatever is going on. I

17:05

always have that

17:07

type of dream. There's

17:09

there whether it's monsters, whether it's

17:11

this high action adventure scene like

17:14

you guys know with Pariah. Those

17:16

were all dreams every step of the way. Here

17:18

we are. This is what I want to give

17:20

you guys

17:24

now. 12 years later

17:26

since 2011 and

17:28

I'm finally like burying

17:31

myself bare. I'm

17:34

opening my journals to you and

17:37

sharing something that is

17:40

very precious to me. Like

17:44

I said I was a little bit afraid to

17:46

do that because judgment

17:49

I guess or I just don't

17:51

hear people particularly writers who

17:53

say oh yeah this was a total dream

17:55

and I and I wrote the book about

17:57

it or I wrote the story. Maybe

18:00

there's a childishness that I thought

18:03

you would feel in it

18:05

or something. I don't know. It's

18:07

ridiculous. It's silly, right? Fear is

18:10

the worst killer of all dreams

18:12

and whatnot. So

18:15

yeah, there's my dream that I

18:17

had on August 22nd. And

18:20

I've already got the next one picked

18:22

out and I'm really excited about it.

18:25

If the dreams do run, like

18:28

that was a four page, one,

18:30

two, that was a three page dream

18:32

right there. So if they

18:34

run a little short, I will

18:37

redo two or three of them. That

18:40

way you'll at least get your time's worth.

18:42

I think an hour is

18:44

a good time, but 30 minutes, that's pretty good

18:46

too. If they

18:49

run long, which I have plenty of

18:51

those. I was reading through

18:53

my journals yesterday and I found one

18:55

that was very po-esque

18:59

and kind of dark and that

19:02

one is like 30 pages. So

19:04

I really am excited to read

19:07

that one to you. And

19:09

so I'm just going to let it go. Like if I flub

19:11

it, there's going to be flubs in

19:13

there. I'm going to be producing

19:15

these dreamscape or these dream time

19:18

episodes. There's

19:20

not going to be much music if any. So

19:23

that big daddy doesn't have to hurry and be

19:25

just so pressured for time to get stuff out

19:27

to you. I'm going to get stuff

19:29

out to you and I hope you like it. I

19:32

do. I'm having fun. I

19:34

do it every day. Pretty much every day. That's

19:37

the freaking crazy

19:39

thing about this. It

19:42

hit me like, why? Why

19:44

am I waiting? Why haven't

19:46

I just been doing this? Impostor
