Kalen is the owner and designer of Upstate, a shibori dyed women’s apparel and home goods line. From her days dyeing silk scarves in her bathtub to opening up her studio in Brooklyn, Kalen shares how she was able to grow her creative outlet into a sustainable business, all the while staying true to her wild roots.
