Savanah's back, guys, and this week, she's bringing you the story of one of the most inspiring and influential musicians of all time - Tupac Shakur. In this episode, Savanah covers his early life from his birth as Lesane Parish Crooks in 1971. The son of Black Panther activists, the boy who would eventually be known as Tupac grew up with a keen awareness for racial injustice, but also nurtured a curiosity for the world and its art. From the stage to the studio, he cultivated a talent for acting, language, and song-writing. This would ultimately lead to his career as one of the defining artists of the 90s and the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry which in turn would set the stage for one of the greatest unsolved crimes in history. Hold on to your seats, guys, because this one is a two-parter and it kicks off with Delia (a 90s kid's) first question to Savanah which is "Were you even alive?"
