In this episode of The Last Action Heroes we move away from our recent American musclebound action and take a trip cross the pond to experience the trials and tribulations of living your best British spy life as we delve into the first James Bond epic of the decade with 1981's FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. From the depths of the Ionian sea, to the snowcapped peaks of Italy, join agents, 006JESPER, 007BJORN, 008LEON and 009DAN as we sleuth our way through the adventure holiday of your dreams with Roger Moore. After a British spy trawler sinks off the coast of Greece, Bond is tasked with recovering its A.T.A.C, a communications device that is used to coordinate with a fleet of nuclear submarines, before it falls into the hands of Russian intelligence. Teaming up with Melina Havelock, whose parents were brutally murdered whilst also looking for the sunken vessel, Bond takes a whirlwind trip around the Mediterranean and becomes embroiled in a feud between two rival businessmen who may or may not have links to the Russians. Leaving behind his trademark gadgets, cartoonish villains and quippy one liners Bond must this time use his charm and wit if he is to complete his mission and get the girl! Lucky for him he has those in spades (see what we did there...tenuous poker link!) With all the hallmarks you've come to expect from a 007 adventure; insane stunt choreography, explosive action sequences and more hot ladies than is realistically plausible for a 50 year old man to sleep with in the space of 2 hours, we take a dive on this divisive adventure to discover why it bombed at the time but has recently had more of a critical and cultural reappraisal.
