Ali Velshi fills in for Lawrence O’Donnell tonight on The Last Word: President Trump seems to have sided with Saudi Arabia in the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, claiming that Saudi Arabia is a “great ally” and that the outrage surrounding Khashoggi’s disappearance makes Saudi Arabia look “guilty until proven innocent.” The budget deficit has hit its highest levels in six years under President Trump, but Republicans like Mitch McConnell are blaming entitlements, not the tax cuts that occurred as a result of the GOP tax bill. Plus, Trump says he will not accept any blame if the Republicans lose the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterms. Jennifer Rubin, Rick Stengel, Josh Lederman, Rep. Eric Swalwell, Austan Goolsbee, Bruce Bartlett, and Ron Klain join Ali.
