Nerds and geeks, we are back with another fantastic edition of the legendary Saturday

0:41

Nights of the Nerd around table Yours truly keen nerdifics into Walla Sharp and the

0:52

Building, joined by the one and only Mo Kelly. What's happening and Doctor

0:57

Lis from the Freeway. Hey everyone? Uh, Tom is talking Cunningham,

1:03

Um has got stuff to do. Uh don't know if Ryan, Twitch Master,

1:08

McBaine or Anthony from two cubicles down we'll be able to join us,

1:14

but we shall see. Um, We've got a lot of movies coming our

1:19

way, a lot of nerdasticness jumping off week after week after week, and

1:23

we couldn't let this week go by without getting into Transformers Rise of the Beast.

1:32

Like I said, Tom cannot join us, but he wanted to say

1:37

flat out he absolutely loved this film. Yes, he loved it. Tom's

1:45

review of this film was stellar and before before I because I'm gonna actually pull

1:52

up his review if I can find my phone, I'm gonna read his review off of Facebook. But Doctor Liz, I know you also liked Transformers Rise

2:00

of the Beast. MO hasn't seen it. I gave a spoiler free review

2:06

on Later with Mo Kelly, and that was enough for Moor say, I

2:08

don't need to see that ship. So before we get to my thoughts,

2:15

say that, before we get to my thoughts. Uh, doctor Liz,

2:17

please share with us what you liked about this latest edition and the Transformers film

2:23

franchise. I must say that I didn't like I did not like Bumblebee,

2:27

so I'm putting it out. Okay, that's surprising, all right. I

2:30

didn't like the Bummabee movie, so I came into this with very low expectations

2:38

and um, and I thought it exceeded. It was everything you kind of

2:44

wanted it to be. It was a good depiction on the throwback of the

2:47

other movies in mak Wallberg movies. And there's even a dig talking about because

2:54

the sixth Place, say what ninety four ninety six, So there's a day

3:00

about, um, how Mark Wahlberg is leaving to pursue leaving music to pursue

3:06

acting. And I thought that was that was funny. That was funny,

3:12

And um, I love the music's choice throughout the entire movie. I'm up

3:17

here singing SWV in the theater and then when you start singing waterfalls you got

3:23

me. I'm hooked. But I just thought it was really really good.

3:28

It had enough action, it had some storyline. I think if I was

3:32

only if I have one small criticism is that I liked how they tried to

3:42

throw it back to Bumblebee by saying, oh, the movie, you know

3:46

that you used to have a relationship. You partner with bumble beeing and I

3:50

mean with humans and they helped you. But so clarify this with me.

3:54

Does this does all of the movies connect or is this just like a straight

4:00

now this Bumblebee is a complete reboot of the Transformers film franchise. So Rise

4:06

of the Beast connects only to Transformers, and get to this in a second,

4:13

it connects to Snake Eyes, the Gijoe origins film. I had mentioned

4:19

this on the show a while back, that Hasbro they actually rented out an

4:26

island and they had Hasbro Island, and they got all of their writers,

4:30

producers, directors, they got marketing, they got you know, folks from

4:35

the toy line. They got everyone together to map out a fully fleshed out

4:42

Hasbro film universe, and the Hasbro Film universe encompasses Transformers, GI Joe,

4:50

Mask, the Mobile Armored Strike Command. There's an old eighties cartoon as well.

4:56

It encompasses rom the Space Night, Micronauts, and Visionaries. Those were

5:01

all eighties, late mid to late eighties, early eighties cartoon properties from Hasbro.

5:08

They wanted to finally bring all those brands together, so they got a

5:12

top tier writing and producing and they got everyone needed to make a film.

5:15

They gotten together on the island and they created their their film universe bible.

5:20

And from that is where we get Bumblebee and Snake Guys, which were the

5:26

two first entries in this wider universe, within the Hasbro toy film universe,

5:33

and in this film is where we see that. So forget anything you think

5:41

about the Shila buff or the Mark Wahlberg Transformers films not a part of this.

5:46

Any of the Marlin Waynes, the Rock and all those guys who did

5:51

the other Gi Joe movies not a part of this. This is a this

5:56

is a brand new line of films. Um they are by all intense verses.

6:01

It's interesting that they're trying to take the story as it is. You

6:08

know, we're dealing with you know, world secret organizations and robots and all

6:14

that. They are trying to take a more serious approach with their at least

6:17

their fan service for the franchise. I saw it in three D in three

6:26

girl, you in these three D movies? Yeah, I saw it in

6:29

three D. Actually, you know, I can't get Spider Man in three D. I saw, I don't think. Yeah, I saw Spider Man

6:36

in UM again. In um um, what do you call it? It's

6:44

um laser laser. And I have to say that it's much better in Imax

6:49

laser because you can see the pen strokes and it looks like a comic book

6:57

versus and dobe. It's really sharp and it kind of looks a little fuzzier

7:01

like it could be three D but in but in the I But in Imax

7:08

laser, it's really like it's it's just a more beautiful way to look at

7:14

it. But anyway, oh yeah, now every time I've seen it's been Imax a laser. I saw Transformers another midnight show in indbe Um Tom is

7:25

talking Cunningham. He did a review of it where he says, Rise of

7:29

the Beast is the Transformers movie you have been waiting for. The action is

7:33

sick in all caps. The battles are incredible, and the focus in all

7:38

caps is on the giant alien robots instead of a pack of puny humans providing

7:43

comic relief. This movie creates real tension that requires the interaction of the humans

7:49

as actual partners. There's humor, but the script wisely concentrated on the action

7:55

and the drama. Then there's plenty of both. If you've already seen the

8:00

trailers, you know who the really really big bad is. But he's not

8:03

the only one. This is the most badass collection of an antagonist enfranchise histories.

8:09

Let's be clear, it's a Transformers movie, so there are going to

8:11

be some plot problems, but whose cares. It's a rare movie. It's

8:16

rare that a movie this late in a series absolutely reinvigorates as a franchise.

8:22

If you liked the Bumblebee Root reboot, You'll love Beasts and that soundtrack is

8:28

fing or is in effing sane and the last scene is completely unexpected, and

8:37

so, like you, Liz, it seems Tom he really enjoyed himself.

8:39

He went in there and was like, this film is doing it. I

8:45

on the other hand, yeah, I mean, look, I thought that

8:48

the Bumblebee was really really good. I thought Bumblebee from where we left off

8:54

with the Transformers films, and how I was really bothered even just by the

8:58

transformation, by the robots themselves. They weren't they weren't everything that to me,

9:03

I thought they should have been. Well, okay, I'm there,

9:09

I'm gonna get there. I'm gonna get there. The Transformers Bumblebee I thought

9:15

was really really solid. When I went into this film. I went into

9:18

it with Tom's review, so I was hyped, and then Liz doubled down

9:24

and said it was so, so, so good, so I was extra

9:28

hyped. I will say this, the first few minutes into this film when

9:35

they introduced the Maximals, the Beasts, when they introduced them, I was

9:41

instantaneously thrown out of this film. And this is why, because Transformers,

9:48

there are some rules by which the Transformers film universe and all that is set

9:52

up. And so when you set these rules, I expect you to follow

9:56

them. So I know there's some people are gonna be like, dude, how can you like any of the Fast movies and say anything about the believability

10:03

of Transformers. I will say this, in the Fast and Furious movies,

10:07

those films are based on ridiculous unbelievable car stunts and a story that is so

10:15

insane you have to just actually look at it as this is the WWF of

10:22

car films. I don't go into a Fast and Furious film looking for anything

10:26

to be real. I gave you all that idea a long time ago. But there are no rules. That's the thing. There are no rules in

10:31

a Fast and Furious film. Exacts can go out of space, cars could

10:35

get from building the building and not mess up even their suspension. Look like

10:41

some some kids from the hood who are boosting CD players are now international g

10:46

I. Joe level spies. Okay, I get it second, But he

10:50

was he was though um training in the military. No no, no,

11:00

no, no, no, no no no. I'm talking about Fast and Furious. There is no reality in Fast and Furious. The same could be

11:05

said for Jurassic Park, the last Jurassic Park movie. It requires you to

11:11

have a reality, a realistic idea of dinosaurs living in the world today,

11:16

and everything that they did flew in the face of dinosaurs living in the world

11:20

today that that couldn't be. So. If you try to set a film

11:24

in some level of reality, I expect you to play by certain rules.

11:30

Transformers the same. So in the very first scene of this film, you're

11:35

introduced to the maximals on this far away planet. It's not planet Earth,

11:41

correct list, it is Earth with a ring around it it is, So

11:46

that's not Earth. Okay, there's not a human insight. There's not a

11:50

human insight on this planet. So then if they're because on Cybertron, anyone

11:56

that knows what Cybertron. On Cybertron, you're all just robots, and you

12:00

hand transform but you're all just robots because you're amongst your own kind. There's

12:03

no hiding from anything. There's no need for the Maximals on an alternate Earth

12:09

to exist. Why because there's no humans. Not only that you're on an

12:13

alternate Earth. Why would you have gorillas, uh, eagles, cheetahs,

12:18

rhinoceroses on a planet that's not Earth. There's no other animals on this planet.

12:24

Who are these these robots masking and disguising themselves as Why are you disguised

12:28

as animals on a planet with no animals? And that's where I said,

12:31

why in the fuck are these animals? Are these robots disguised as animals?

12:37

This is a fictitious planet. You don't have to be robots. Now that

12:41

they're they're robots, and then like this the one optimist primal Oh yeah,

12:46

you're right, yeah, yeah, list yeah, they're on you don't gets

12:52

until until they get yeah. But but but so when we're introduced to them,

12:58

they're animals on a planet with no animals, right, So that's weird

13:03

to me. If you if you had said it in the past on Earth

13:07

and when they got to Earth as robots, they disguised themselves as animals.

13:11

Cool, but you're putting in on an alternate Earth where there aren't gorillas,

13:15

there aren't eagles, rhinoceroses, or cheetahs. So that was weird to me

13:18

and that threw me off, and I'm like, what are we doing?

13:22

But then you introduce Unicron, and that was badass because Unicron is like,

13:26

oh my god. The way they introduce Unicron into this film is exactly how

13:31

you want Unicron to be. And then you're fast forward to New York in

13:37

nineteen ninety four, and man, that that that Wou Tang Clan hits you

13:41

like like a brick. It's like, oh snap. And after that,

13:45

every everything on that soundtrack, the way that they depicted the nineties through the

13:50

music was great. They introduced us to the lead antagonist or the lead start

13:56

in What's the Kid's Name? Ramos um Anthony Anthony Ramos. I thought his

14:05

acting throughout was solid. I thought Dominique Fishback, I thought her performance was

14:11

solid. Unfortunately, talks about how how how young she looks because she's like

14:16

in her thirties. Oh yeah, and she looks like a band she does.

14:20

But she's been having a nice year or two. And I thought about

14:22

this, like all of these people who the main characters, they've had a

14:26

really good year. She just got off a swarm. And then think about

14:31

like the mother his mother is is in the next hit, the laddest hit

14:35

movie. Um ye, spider Man, spider Man, Yep, she's something

14:39

else and I can't remember. She looks she's been acting forever in a day.

14:45

Um again. The cast was great. Um. They the way they

14:48

set up the story, the way they set up the reason that the autobots

14:54

came out of hiding or whatever. I thought that was cool. I thought

14:58

that was cool. I thought the whole idea of this this secret key that

15:01

the maximals escaped from from the Earth with the ring around it to get to

15:05

Planet Earth. Of course there's some there's there's this secret key that's the only

15:11

thing that will allow Unicron to travel through universes, and of course they steal

15:15

it and make off where to Planet Earth all the other plants they could have

15:18

gone, Yeah, they go to Planet Earth. Sure thing, um, and it's hidden and why they hide instead are keeping it on themselves. That

15:24

doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But sure, let's go with

15:28

that. Let's go with the fact that you hid it among human society to

15:31

sure sure thing. Let's just we'll go with that because you need that to

15:35

make the film move forward. But the things that they went through after that,

15:41

within their own film, they stopped making sense, And that to me

15:46

is the things that bother me because there their reliance on the humans was predicated

15:50

on the humans being the ones that they needed to go in and get these

15:54

things or go find these things. So like in the beginning list when when

15:58

Dominique fishbacks where she unleashes this thing, and the autobots are coming up with

16:03

this plan to get Anthony Rainmo's character to go in and get it, because

16:06

they need a human to go in and sneak in and get it, right, that's what they've told us. But then they get into this huge ass

16:12

fight with these enemy robots they show up, and then they destroy the museum

16:17

doing what essentially doing away with the reason why you were going to have the

16:21

human sneak in and trying not to cause a fuss. So I'm like,

16:25

so that was pointless if you were just going to go in there and get

16:27

the thing that was activated and have to destroy everything anyway, that plan didn't

16:33

make sense, But okay, we're gonna go with it. We're still going

16:36

with it. They move forward, they have to find because of course the

16:40

key is split and autobots, I mean, the Optimist prime the whole they're

16:44

getting their asses handed to him. And I don't like a film where the

16:47

protagonists are getting their asses handed to them, and they shouldn't. Optimists can

16:51

only be beaten by what bow a prime. Optimists can only be defeated by

16:56

a prime. No one that was fighting Optimist of the Prime Optimists should have

17:02

been trashing those other robots. I don't care if they were empowered by the

17:06

Almighty God robot you the crime. Only a prime can destroy or defeat a

17:11

prime, and none of those robots were Primes. They were all just subordinate

17:17

and Prime should have been thrashing them. But if you want to do away

17:19

with that rule, those of us who are watching it go but wait,

17:23

you're not following your own rules of Prime is fucking Prime, dude, That's

17:30

what it should be. So when you have Prime getting his ass kick,

17:34

you have Bumblebee look like he's killed out of nowhere, and then you save

17:41

yourself. But I've seen the trailer and I see Bumblebee in the end sequence

17:45

in the trailer, so I know he's not dead. Those are the things

17:48

that while I'm watching, I go, oh, man, you guys didn't have to telegraph this film so much. That's tough for me. Those are

17:53

the things that were really really tough. You fast forward, they have to

17:57

go travel across the globe, and then you go to South America, Peru.

18:03

Okay, you go from New York to Peru and mo. These Transformers,

18:07

Autobots and Decepticons they come to planet Earth and they disguise themselves as cars

18:12

and jets and stuff. Why, mom, I don't know, because there

18:18

are no cars and jets where they are. No, no, no,

18:22

beyond that, they do that to hide in plane sight I get that.

18:26

Yeah, so that's that's the whole reason why they say we'll transform into these

18:30

things. Right, But when you get to Peru, you're led to Peru

18:36

by this giant bird transformer right now. Now, I don't know about you,

18:41

but in the trailer, you've seen this bird air raiser and this bird

18:47

is like twenty feet tall. So I don't know why you're a transformer on

18:52

Earth disguised as a twenty foot bird that looks like a robot that you're not

18:56

disguised. You're not disguised at that point. At that point, you're just

18:59

a big as giant metal bird. Then they go to Peru and you've got

19:03

the gorilla, You've got the rhino, you've got the cheetah, which is

19:06

as big as a fucking car, and you got all of them hiding in

19:08

plain sight. I'm like, you're a gorilla, but you're like, uh,

19:14

fifteen twenty foot gorilla. You're not hiding from anyone, dude. Gorillas

19:18

aren't that big to me. The idea of transformers. I'm like now that

19:22

that there are no gorillas and rhinoceroses in Peru, So all of that was

19:26

weird to me. I don't know why. I don't know why. That

19:30

was weird. But the idea of them being animals hiding in Peru and they

19:33

weren't disguised as animals that are native to Peru, that was weird to me.

19:40

He could have been animals that were native to Peru. He could have

19:42

done that. They didn't want to do that because then when they get to

19:45

Peru, come to find out you actually didn't need the humans to even find

19:49

the thing they were looking for because they were able to scan the whole damn

19:52

villages. Boom, Hey, people, the thing we're looking for is right

19:57

there. It's hidden. Go and get if you know, Unicron is coming.

20:02

Man, fuck the people. Why are these robots so concerned with hiding?

20:06

Fuck that, Go in and get the damn thing that you need. But no, because you got to carry this dragging gas story along. You

20:11

want to send the people in and to get people miss misadventures. They find

20:18

the key, they lose the key, they're introduced to Mo. They're introduced

20:22

to a robot that speaks with a Spanish accent, but it's nothin but mentioned

20:32

that in the movie, right, and he was just like, oh,

20:34

so it'd be kind of like for sumptuous to think that you speak Spanish and

20:41

he's like, yeah, it's racist, and he's like, how can you

20:45

be racist? And that that was That was That was one of those things

20:48

that I'm like, you didn't have to write that in. You also don't

20:51

have to have robots that are speaking with an accent. Why because they're hiding,

20:56

they're not chilling among the people, They're not having conversation the people,

21:00

the people that live in Peru about to have a Yeah, but the voice

21:07

box like in Bumblebee right, because he had no voice box. So it

21:11

could be like the voice box has been replaced. It could be that they

21:17

mimic something like. That doesn't bother That didn't bother me at all, because

21:21

I feel that everyone has an accent. These are robots. Yeah, but

21:30

Optimist Prime has an act like all their voices does. No Optimists doesn't have

21:34

an accent. Optimist speaks in a in a clear and I know, I

21:38

get it, it's it's in the English accent. But to me, the

21:41

idea of these these aliens, these aliens, you know, speaking with a

21:48

clear Spanish accent, when none of the other robots do. None of the

21:51

other robots have have a really identifiable accent. That that to me was a

21:57

little weird. In the old movie you had, you had all of them

22:02

had their own little years that would that. Yeah, you know what remember

22:08

in that one where they were in in Asia and you had the one Samurai

22:12

robot whom we must go and what the Japanese accent they? To me,

22:19

that's one of those things that I'm like, so why are we doing that?

22:25

When you had the two little robots who are all of a sudden because

22:27

they had the robot gold teeth and they was talking like little John. To

22:32

me, that that that goes to what what they think about different cultures,

22:37

different people. And I'm like, you could have just had all the robots,

22:41

you know, just talk regular. You didn't have to do that. And that was just a stretch. When I saw those things, I was

22:45

like, okay. And then just the third act it just drug. The

22:49

third act a drug and a drug and a drug. And by the time

22:55

it was over, I was done. Until that in credit scene, that

22:59

incredit scene was insanely exciting for me. I don't know why. But when

23:03

you make the connection between Transformers and Joe that that was man, that was

23:11

crazy. That was crazy. So I don't know. I thought that the

23:15

casting. I thought the cast was really cute. I really believed in them

23:19

being brothers. I thought that you did get to see there was some level

23:25

of chemistry between the two main the guy and the girl, and I did

23:30

think that I understand all of your problems. But um, I've always put

23:41

that just like my Star when I complained about Star Wars. The issue with

23:48

Hosbro is that they made up storylines because they had these toys that they wanted

23:57

to sell, and so it's kind of one of those they didn't have a

24:03

lot of thought from the get go, and so you're going to end up

24:11

with they didn't have comic books. First, they had toys and they're like,

24:15

oh, how can we sell these toys, and let's have a court,

24:21

you know. And then that same thing with tag Nitta Turtles, like all well, Tattles actually started off as a comic book, but it's kind

24:27

of but Hasbro was like, let's just come up with a storyline and make

24:33

this make sense. So you're gonna have all of these flaws and I know

24:36

that it violates the first premise, and I get that, and they do mention in the movie that he was named after all, Optimus Primus was made

24:45

named after Optimus Prime, and so I was like, hm, so you

24:51

know of him first? I mean so, I mean, I do think

24:56

I don't know. I thought it was an enjoyable ride. You suspend belief,

25:00

it's an enjoyable ride. I was on the edge of my seat.

25:03

I thought the action was great. The movie, I mean, the music

25:06

made it better. I think the cast was excellent, much better than the

25:11

chial than the old movies casting. That true that I would the jokes were

25:17

fun. Some of them were cheesy, but the jokes overall were fun.

25:22

I thought. Look, I thought Pete Davidson as the Mirage, I thought

25:26

Pete Davison was surprisingly good. To Pete Davison, he carried himself really really

25:32

well. I thought that even though he was bringing humor to his role,

25:37

I thought that he was he was at least serious about being a Transformer.

25:42

He was serious about being in the movie. And I thought that was really

25:45

really good. I thought the two human protagonists, I thought they were really

25:52

really good. The antagonist of the film, I mean, the threat of

25:55

Unicron was amazing. The three Transformer villains that he sent into you know,

26:03

ruin the day. I thought they weren't memorable at all. They could have

26:07

just been anybody. There was nothing memorable about the Earthbound villains or the swarm

26:12

of ridiculous looking spiders scorpion like robots that they sent to fight that. That

26:18

was like, that was like one of those like Okay, now we're just we're just doing whatever right now. Um. But again I would I would

26:25

say it is definitely worth seeing on the big screen because the transformations the robots

26:32

themselves and what they had these robots do. I thought that was stunning.

26:37

The CGI on these robots, without a doubt, is the best transformation sequences

26:42

and best i'd say, real realistic looking transformations that I've seen in any of

26:48

the films. The way these robots moved, the way they went from vehicle

26:52

to car Stellar that stuff was good. About the Porsche when they stole the

26:59

port, I was like, Oh, this is cute, this is and

27:03

it was realistic. His response to being caught in the Porsche. Yeah,

27:08

yeah. His acting throughout was good. His acting. I was like,

27:11

I'm really down with this dude. This dude and his role no matter what,

27:17

he stayed really really true to his character. They didn't they didn't um

27:22

they didn't do implausible or ridiculous things with the characters. The characters their motivations

27:29

made sense. So those things were great. It just it suffered from just

27:34

some really serious storytelling issues that made this Uh. I saw it, don't

27:41

need to see it again. It's just one of those movies like you watch

27:44

it once. It's not it's it's nowhere near a across the Spider Verse where

27:49

I've now seen that film three times, and I will go and see it

27:52

four times. I'll go see it again and again. That film, for

27:55

me, is stellar, and I think that a film like Trains Transformers,

28:00

it's gonna have this weekend, and this weekend is going to be it because

28:04

next weekend, uh is what Lizards, the Flash and the don't actually do.

28:12

But those are two films that would take away from the Transformers. The

28:18

Flash will take away from maybe the older end, while Elements will take away

28:25

from the younger end, and both will take away from just general audiences and

28:29

curiosity. So this film will arguably only get a week to do what it's

28:33

gonna do because Flash is already selling out theaters, which is it's shocking to

28:38

me, but Flash is selling out and you know, kids want to see

28:44

an element. I mean, even when I went to see Transformers, it's

28:48

it wasn't sold out yesterday. You know. It's also I think this is

28:55

a troublesome time when they're stacking in this way. Is only because I really

29:00

think that they're stepping on so much of each other's toes, because there's not

29:04

enough space in the theater for this amount of these amount of blockbusters all at

29:11

once. Yeah. Yeah, because I mean look at this. I mean,

29:15

the Flash and Elements is only going to have a week because what the

29:22

no, no, no, the last two weeks, because you keep reminding me, uh, Dial of Destiny is on the third up. I don't

29:29

know why. I don't know. I don't know why it's in my mind

29:32

that it's coming out in the sixteenth. But yes, you are right. So those two will have at least two weeks. If they do another strong

29:38

push for Transformers, maybe that'll stay within the top five for week. But

29:44

they're also still continuing with the fact that that I asked. I asked the

29:48

guy at the theater when I was leaving out there, I'm like, man, there was only like forty people in this in this um uh what you

29:55

call it screening for Transformers. I'm like, is everyone in Spider Man?

29:59

He's like everyone is in all other Spider Man theaters. The Imax Spider Man

30:03

theater is packed, and he's like, all these other theaters are packed.

30:07

Transformers Again, I'm an Adobe theater, like you know, two hundred people,

30:11

maybe there's like maybe fifty of us in there. And then other thing

30:15

is is that people are still going back to say Little Mermaid, and people

30:19

are and word is getting out there about how good Little Mermaid is, word

30:26

is getting out there about how good Spider Man is. I've heard that the

30:30

Flash is really good, but you know, I don't I don't know how

30:38

long and how good it's gonna be because I mean, I tell you,

30:41

like Spider Man to me was just it's so stellar. Yeah, yeah,

30:48

I don't know. I don't know this is going to help theaters. I

30:52

mean, if everything is stacked out like this, how do theaters win this

30:57

summer? If you may get people in those opening nights and maybe that opening

31:03

week, but if you have everything stacked up like this, I don't know

31:07

if there's I don't know if there's a win, especially when there's stuff also

31:11

to watch at home speaking the Witch Doctor Liz. What is on Apple TV?

31:17

Oh, I don't know. I mean actually something new, but it's

31:21

nothing significant, Like I mean, I it's Tom Holland has a new show

31:25

and I haven't watched it yet, so I am going to watch it. I heard that's the one that that's God wanted to retire for a year because

31:32

that's broke him. Yeah. I can understand it because there was another one

31:37

I talked about, like what year a few years ago that shot Charlotte I

31:41

only mispronounce his name, Buff the Buff. Yeah, and he was a

31:47

drug addict and that was so heart wrenching on Amazon, I mean on Apple

31:51

TV. So I mean if it seems like it's going to be kind of

31:55

similar, gut wrenching kind of a show to where I can understand. M

32:01

M, what you watch The Mom? Uh? Not a lot? Not

32:07

a lot? Yeah? Loo man, both y'all busy. I love it. Yeah, I mean you need to catch up. You're gonna have to

32:14

catch at the time. I have not had the time. I saw The

32:19

Mother on Netflix. That was good. I enjoyed it. Damn yes,

32:23

remind me I gotta watch that. You said that was good yea. I

32:29

have a question for you guys. What do you one quick thing? How

32:32

do I feel about the fact that Avatar is on two different is on Max

32:37

and Disney. I claim bullshit on all that everything Avatar related is bullshit,

32:43

the fact that it's on Disney Plus and what is an Amazon, No,

32:46

Max, Max, whatever, But it doesn't make sense anything having to do

32:52

with Avatar. I don't believe that many people actually saw it overseas, that

32:58

it was a bigger box off for success overseas than it was in the United

33:01

States. I don't believe that at all. And I wonder what kind of

33:07

deal they worked out, they being James Cameron and his company to get it

33:10

on both networks. That's really weird. That doesn't make any sense it for

33:16

either company. Yeah, because like the first one's not on both, it's

33:21

just this one is. I was strange. I call bullshit. I think

33:27

there's something going on. There's something amiss in Hollywood. He's got files on

33:35

the folks to run Disney Plus and Max. I don't know, but I

33:38

call bullshit on it. There's no way that this film deserves that type of

33:44

attention, seeing as how every single person except except for one I actually know

33:50

super producer Kayla over At Kafi who works with us. She saw Avatar and

33:55

she loved it, and she said, dude, you're wrong. Don't listen

34:00

into the haters. Go watch it. But I didn't like the first one.

34:02

Yeah, I didn't like the first one. Better than the first one,

34:07

but it's not But that's not saying much. Yeah, I can't do

34:09

it. I can't do it. I actually I think, Uh, it's

34:14

so long. There's way too much stuff that I want to watch. I've

34:20

got a bunch of of animated catch up. I started rewatching Boltron Legendary Defender

34:24

U, I got to see The Mother and and there's just there's just a

34:29

bunch of really interesting things on TV that I want to see. I want

34:32

to watch Jerry Duty. Uh it's done. I want to see Jerry Dude.

34:36

I want to finish watching Citadel. So there's way more important watch I

34:40

saw. I saw Citadel all six episodes. It did it good. Yeah.

34:46

Um, you can see how Richard Madden, who played chorus and uh

34:52

eternals, you can see how they're kind of positioning him for James Bond consideration.

34:59

Okay, okay, okay. Any Scottish so he could be in the

35:01

running. Okay, I'm just saying it was fine fun of your tweet.

35:07

Your tweet. You got a tweet about who could play Bond, and you

35:12

went through the list of all people, and it was Roger Moore's son who

35:16

was complaining. Only he was saying, they would be ridiculous for an American

35:21

to play James Bond when there haven't been largely englishmen to play James Bond.

35:28

Regardless of how the characters written. It's just a lie. Yeah, that

35:31

that's pure comedy. That is pure comedy. Um, all right, I

35:36

see, Yeah, Tom's not gonna be able to join us. I see

35:38

McBain and uh, Anthony, we're also not able. So short and sweet.

35:45

I thank y'all for tuning in. Uh either of you seeing the Flash?

35:51

I'm not. I'm not seeing the Flash. I see it at some

35:53

point, who knows when I'm not giving it? No, Well, it's

36:01

a short movie to see it. See, Okay, Well, m I

36:06

am gonna see the Flash. I have no choice. I have the kids. Who's going I'm gonna watch both them? Elementals and the Flash? Oh

36:12

perfectly? You know what next week? Uh, doctor Liz, you've got

36:15

and I think Tom's gonna see The Flash as well, so y'all can go

36:19

on and give us a spoiler rific review of The Flash. I do not

36:23

care about spoilers on that one. I don't care about that film at all.

36:30

But we'll be back next week with The Flash and Elemental there. It

36:34

is, all right, Take us out, doctor Liz. Oh, good

36:37

night everyone, Multi pass exlsior
