This is a Light and Shadow of Coaching – in and beyond organizations production resulting from a documentary we made to fund coach training for women in Kenya. Our purpose is to empower women creating ripple effects of growth, change and development. Today’s episode is the first installment of a series of conversations with coaches, leaders, educators who either donated to support this social impact through coaching initiative or made an interview contribution to the documentary, or sponsor the social impact initiative.The goal of this series is to give you an intimate peak behind the curtains: what is social impact through coaching for our guests and why does social impact.

About our guest James Cook:

James is an ICF and EMCC accredited coach, he is a Learning & Development Specialist for Coaching, Mentoring and Team Development, responsible for the Internal Professional Coaching Pool at Nestlé in the UK and Ireland. Outside of work, James is a Listening Volunteer at The Samaritans, a unique UK charity dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. James’s journey and mission in life is to create a world where everyone feels the power of true engagement both in and out of work, by recognising their personal agency and feeling empowered to make a difference. Deep listening, social impact, physical intelligence and role modelling are James’s special interests.
