In a very full circle moment, The Lingo is joined this week by Jalen and Zeal from Escape2NY. Recapping their past Underground Live event (UGL), we recall the start of UGL and how it went from basement bashments to an upcoming rooftop function; from the bottom to the top - literally. We get into a nice pocket talking about Jalen’s own journey with music and how it led to his younger brother (950rackz a.k.a GSK) forming a love for rap; truly showing us that artistry runs in the family. Both guests being familiar with and having spent much time upstate, we talk about the music scene up there and the challenges that come with trying to amplify the voices out there - which ultimately takes us back to Jalen’s musical journey.On our latter half, we discuss Escape going global with their Mexico City event, what's next for Escape in regards to UGL and their Art Expo and how to further creative this space and platform for creatives.As always, we wrap up with a Lingo Talk with The Lingo with new phrases in the mix!
