This week I am delighted to be joined by another special guest David Passmore.
A native of Kent and long-time resident in Ireland, David has held a number of prominent roles in Irish Sport and Academia including serving as the Ireland Men’s Field Hockey Head Coach, assistant coach for Ireland’s women’s hockey team, National Development and Under -21 Head coach as well as lecturing in Coaching Science and Education at Dublin City University.
He very kindly took time out of his busy schedule to talk to about all of this as well as his latest challenge – serving as the Head Coach of the USA’s Women’s Field Hockey Team and the opportunity it has given him to pursue some long held professional and personal goals.
Along the way we spoke about what it means to be truly high performing, the role of values and bringing them to life in order to build great teams as well as what it’s like to transplant yourself from your permanent job and your family in Ireland to challenge yourself in a new environment in the US.
