In this episode you’ll hear from charity founder, Matthew Norton, as well as from Hannah Sloan Wood and Katharina Manecke, the talented architects who rose to the challenge to halve the cost of building a classroom in Kenya.

You’ll hear about the how important this is in the context of providing everything a child needs for a decent education and the wider significance of this achievement, not only in Magadi and across Kenya, but potentially for many other countries across the world.

This is the story about challenging convention and creating something so unusual it stops passers-by in their tracks who want to take a closer look.  This is how an idea became a Grand Design and how that then became a reality whilst the world was under the shadow of COVID.

You’ll also hear from two of the teachers who are using these remarkable spaces today and why the children all want to have their lessons there.
