Season One of The Mocha Memoirs is here! This podcast was created to share poetry written by herself and other young, talented poets. I delve into the true realities of life as a young, African American adult in the world today.  I reveals the joys and pains that are faced in our community. The hope is that this podcast can serve as a space where you can feel heard, understood and encouraged.

In this episode, I will discuss the topic of fatherlessness. I share a poem I wrote, called "Broken Home: A Letter to the Absentee Father", which entails the feelings of a daughter who had to grow up without her father in her life. She shares the struggles she faced and how she yearns for the presence of her father.
