Realizing you have an addiction is a sobering moment. We never think of ourselves as addicts until we step outside of ourselves and analyze our behaviors.
It's not a case of asking "Do I have an addiction?" but asking "Do I have a crutch?" "Do I turn to something to bring me short term comfort but in the long run can lead to longterm problems?"
I recently realized that I was addicted to alcohol in my teens and early 20's and honestly, I was shocked by the revelation.
In today's enlightening episode I reflect on what I feel caused my addiction, how I overcame it and how you can use life's lessons to gain strength to help overcome an addiction too.
