Live video broadcasting your class over the internet is a powerful way to reach more people and grow your wellness business. I’m often asked what are the best ways to live stream and what gear is needed. Listen to the episode to learn more about the following resources.
Zoom is an affordable priced service that will help you live stream your class, event, and even hold coaching calls. With a Zoom Pro account, you can have 50 participants attend via phone, computer, or the zoom mobile app. You can also record your classes for later playback.

Audio is where you’ll want to invest the most. People generally make the mistake of focusing on the video technology because it’s a video broadcast. The most beautiful image means nothing if you can’t hear the presenter. For your live class and events, audio is king.
Not to be confused with the Zoom Call. The Zoom audio recorders can be used as a small mixer, audio recorder, and input device to your laptop that will give your zoom call better audio.
Use the Zoom Mic for a general classroom audio source. I recommend keeping that muted until your live class members are actually speaking, otherwise it’s just extra, unneeded ambient noise.
My first choice is the Zoom H6 recorder

I’ve had the best success with the Shure Brand for handheld and lapel microphones. Shure provides a durable yet lower cost option than say a Sennheiser mic system.
For one presenter try the Sure BLX14
Shure BLX14/CVL Instrument Wireless System with CVL Lavalier Microphone, H8
For two live presenters try the Sure BLX188
Shure BLX188/CVL Dual Channel Lavalier Wireless System with 2 CVL Lavalier Microphones, J10
For one or more presenters + easy mic option for live class participants try the Shure BLX1288
Shure BLX1288/CVL Dual Channel Combo Wireless System with PG58 Handheld and CVL Lavalier Microphone, J10
To connect the Shure wireless mic(s) to your Zoom audio recorder you’ll need 1 or 2 XLR cables. I like to keep the cables short as possible 3 to 6 feet of cable should be adequate for most small class situations. However sometimes you may need up to 25 or 50 feet.
Keep in mind that you’ll probably keep the mic receiver close to your Zoom recorder, which will be close to your laptop and be plugged in using a USB cable.
