In this episode, Jenna and Sarah talk with Gabi Boysen, AG-ACNP about her loneliness as a nurse during the pandemic, including parallels between her own experience and that of her geriatric patients. Gabi also shares her "Nightingale Moment" about the pediatric nurse who inspired her own journey in nursing.

Gabrielle Boysen is an adult-gerontological acute care nurse practitioner (AG-ACNP) with UnityPoint Clinic in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Allen College with her nurse practitioner license in 2013, and later, with her Doctorate in Nursing and also a post masters certificate in pediatric acute care.  Gabi has a variety of nursing experiences, including long-term care, emergency medicine, urgent care, and cardiology.  Besides patient care, Gabrielle has also dedicated her career to educating the nurse practitioners of the future.  She is the lead faculty for the AG-ACNP program at Allen College and has been involved in program development and implementation of simulation in the masters program. Gabrielle currently resides in Hayfield, MN with her husband, two boys, and daughter.  She enjoys spending her free time with her family and dogs while participating in outdoor activities and traveling.
