Building a portfolio with Fidelity Basket portfolios

0:02

is kind of like making a sandwich.

0:05

It's as simple as picking your

0:07

stocks and ETFs, sort of like

0:09

your meats and other topics, and

0:11

managing it as one big, juicy

0:13

investment. Mmm, now

0:15

that's pretty good. Learn

0:56

finally told Brian to go. It's our anniversary. I don't

0:59

want to be the couple who's that big old Good

1:01

Morning America story, like a couple dies on their 10-year

1:03

anniversary hike. I'm like, we got to turn around. This

1:05

is The Nicki and Bri Show. Well,

1:11

happy Monday, Coach Nicki. Happy

1:14

Monday, Coach Bri. And

1:16

it is a good Monday for

1:18

sure. That is right. We are

1:20

officially T-ball coaches. That's right. First

1:22

practice down, many more to go.

1:25

We didn't know what to expect, right? Yeah, it

1:28

just, you know, I'll be honest, the feeling I had going

1:30

into it was just like a lot of stress. And

1:33

the only thing is because we're just so busy as

1:35

it is that I kind of thought in my head

1:37

like, what did I

1:39

get myself into? Because you and I don't do

1:41

things half fast. So when we started prepping

1:43

and we're watching YouTube videos, we're doing things. A

1:46

lot of people are like, you know, you just show

1:48

up like it's like babysitting. But

1:50

for Nicki and I, we didn't want to

1:53

just be babysitting kids for an hour. We

1:56

really did want to teach him something. And

1:58

it was interesting because... as

2:00

we were prepping all week like Nikki

2:03

said watching our YouTube videos and googling

2:05

all this stuff which was fun

2:07

we have to like we'll let you know everything but

2:10

the one thing that we didn't realize is

2:12

we'd be walking away from practice and also

2:14

learning something I feel like not only about

2:16

ourselves but the whole experience I absolutely

2:19

loved the experience Brie and I both and

2:21

I'll go into my fields and then Brie

2:23

will go into hers but

2:26

Brie and I kicked a lot of ass and

2:29

yeah we didn't and I

2:31

could just tell during the whole thing Brie

2:33

and I were really enjoying it but we

2:35

took so much away to where we

2:38

all went to dinner after meaning

2:40

Artem and our kids and both

2:42

Brie's family, our families we all

2:44

went out to dinner after and

2:47

all Brie and I we couldn't stop

2:49

talking about like the future of the

2:51

team how everyone shined who

2:53

like this and that what we're gonna do for

2:55

next practice this is how we're gonna grow throughout

2:58

the season and weaknesses yeah and this

3:00

is how we're gonna start to like do practices this

3:02

is where we're actually gonna start with and how we're

3:04

gonna end oh when we're gonna get shirts and maybe

3:06

we get some matching hats and we're

3:08

fully in it but I will say

3:11

that I fell in love with it

3:13

and I think being an athlete my

3:15

whole life and always being

3:17

a team captain locker room leader whatever

3:20

it may be I would felt in

3:22

the moment I love this yeah I

3:24

feel like my sister and I are

3:26

made to be coaches and to see

3:29

I loved it cuz we're talking about athletes that range

3:31

from three to six no

3:33

they're our boys are the

3:36

youngest but they're four to yeah four to six

3:38

but I I love

3:40

working also with younger kids and I couldn't even do

3:42

a bit older but I really like the

3:44

young ones too because they

3:46

taken so much like the kids actually

3:48

were eager to learn and I think

3:50

because Breen I did have a plan

3:52

everyone was so good and couldn't wait

3:55

to do what drill we

3:57

had next what activity what was next

3:59

in practice Because Bree and

4:01

I came not only with inspirational motivating

4:03

talks for their age group, but

4:06

we cared and we put in effort and

4:08

we helped them with their form and with

4:10

the game. And I know we're like talking

4:12

about four to six year olds, but this

4:14

is my thing. It is crazy what they

4:16

soak in and what they

4:18

start to take from that. And I think

4:20

everything that you and I

4:22

have done in our careers, Bree, I

4:24

was like, it comes out in moments

4:26

like this. And now I get why

4:28

former professional athletes make incredible coaches because

4:31

we know what it takes. Plus we

4:33

have the wisdom, we've been there, we've

4:35

done that. And I loved

4:37

giving that. It's for those people who have a passion,

4:39

right? We're always going to have a passion of competition

4:41

and of teaching. And like

4:43

coaching was, I left there like I want

4:45

to be a coach for life now. Oh yeah. I

4:47

was in bed with Brian last night where we were

4:50

chit chatting about the whole experience. And I was telling

4:52

him, I was like, you know what I was blown

4:54

away by is knowing some of the

4:56

boys on the team. I was like, Oh, they're

4:58

the wild ones. So this will be interesting. But

5:01

they couldn't have been better listeners. You

5:04

could really see they wanted to learn. They

5:06

wanted to get better. But the thing I loved the

5:08

most is that I

5:12

was like, wow, here they look up

5:14

to Nikki and I like they were

5:16

like coach Bree, coach Nikki. And

5:18

here Nikki and I have the chance to

5:21

influence these young children

5:23

in great ways. And

5:26

you know, when Nikki and I started practice, we

5:28

got everyone together, introduced, you know, not

5:30

only ourselves, but everyone knowing

5:33

the teammates, they didn't know him already. And

5:35

the biggest thing we wanted to start with is how

5:37

they're like, Hey, this is going to be a growing

5:40

season for the coaches and for all of you. We're

5:42

all learning this for the first time. We're going to make

5:45

mistakes and we're not going to laugh at each other. We're

5:47

going to root each other on to get up and keep

5:49

going. Yeah. And the biggest thing that we

5:51

want you to get out of this season is teamwork. Yep.

5:54

Because teams when champion and we said having

5:56

fun and having fun with that, especially at

5:58

their age is very important. Right

6:00

and you could tell it almost took

6:03

pressure off them and they

6:05

were so excited But it was crazy because

6:07

that word teamwork To

6:09

me and I think you felt the same in practice. They

6:12

really helped each other out. It was so cute I

6:14

mean, I could not believe how great they were at

6:16

cheering each other on and Just

6:18

helping when we asked right, but

6:21

it was also Brie the energy

6:23

we brought because you and I

6:26

We're ready. We were ready I think some of the

6:28

parents kind of blown away because we're in there. We're

6:30

chair. We're like, come on

6:32

Do you gotta go run those

6:34

bases go to for you know, you and I

6:36

get really into it I didn't chew it but little

6:38

kids need that and that was so fun for them

6:40

Like you could call how you and I were cheering

6:43

them on almost made them feel like they were in

6:45

a game And we were like

6:47

amping them up and like the whole time

6:49

the full hour you and I didn't stop

6:52

Even Artem because before we all talked it did

6:54

in the car He goes, okay like I was

6:56

so impressed with you and Brie like I wasn't

6:58

expecting that like you and I fully

7:00

got into it and I feel like I Kept

7:03

talking about even when I was in the shower and

7:05

then I was like in the bed And then I'm like

7:07

going on ideas and I could tell artists like dang She's

7:09

that type of coach like fully live it like my life

7:11

for sure I mean you were texting me until I

7:13

like passed out. Yeah ideas. I'm like

7:15

this T-ball still me Yeah, but yeah

7:19

ideas and I want to do it because I

7:21

was in like googling like what makes a good

7:24

quality coach and like Makes

7:26

the most successful and I don't mean like

7:29

coaches that bring in but like what people

7:32

Get from them and have the impact from

7:34

them and take from them And because I

7:36

kept thinking like if you're experiencing the first

7:38

practice, I'm like, I want these

7:41

kids I don't know how their home life

7:43

is, but I know as a mother how

7:45

important this age 3 4 5

7:47

6 is for learning is for social

7:52

activity positivity believing

7:57

And I want to make that hour for them So

8:01

impactful that their

8:03

core memories and they're gonna instill something in

8:05

them that they're gonna take To

8:07

school with them to home with them and

8:09

also hopefully that the parents when they're in

8:12

the stands watching They are

8:14

gonna take something like look at how my kids

8:16

reacting to this positive environment And

8:18

so I literally was started to read all

8:20

these articles and of course a lot was

8:22

geared to Older

8:24

kids teaching but I even wrote stuff about

8:26

toddler and about this and I

8:28

found it It's just it

8:30

is so important to have good coaches even

8:32

at a young age and that's the impact

8:35

I want to have on these kids I

8:37

want to to be the best

8:39

hour where next season people are begging for

8:41

us back because their kids Took

8:43

something away and already within an

8:46

hour of these kids I'm like attached to all

8:48

of them and I was so

8:50

damn proud of my own son I was like I

8:52

knew he had it in I'm like yeah Like when

8:54

he hit that ball was right in the bases and

8:57

and then Mateo gets in his own world Which is like the cutest

8:59

thing But I'm like I got that first half

9:01

of them like right so into it and

9:03

I love it And you know another thing

9:05

they said what makes great coaches is

9:08

like knowing that Each

9:10

individual on that team is

9:13

growing different and takes things in

9:15

different And what makes the

9:17

best coaches is realizing that and having

9:19

the ability to coach each individual on

9:21

a team differently to

9:24

those strengths and weaknesses and and they were talking

9:26

about the young kids and I I know

9:28

that I know exactly like you and I

9:30

both picked up very quickly on How

9:33

the kids would hit off the tee like who

9:35

needed certain things and who didn't? Certain

9:38

words to say to like confidence well,

9:40

I actually feel like cuz really you

9:42

know tee ball across the nation Parents

9:45

are the ones who are coaching like it's

9:47

not serious coaching going on And I

9:50

do if you have the time I truly recommend

9:52

to volunteer to be a tee ball coach because

9:54

I also think It's

9:56

great for parents to be put in

9:58

that situation and kind of

10:01

open your eyes up to being in

10:03

that role because it does also help you

10:05

parenting wise. I mean there were so many

10:07

things that just like you

10:09

know, I was thinking like okay, you

10:11

know life coach situation

10:14

self and like when I walked away from

10:16

that in the car I was just like

10:19

wow, there's there's things that helped me

10:21

and there is things I took

10:23

away I mean not only the

10:25

joy and how fun but it was

10:27

awesome just Realizing being

10:30

in that role just what you're

10:32

capable of doing and right, you

10:35

know helping and motivating and giving

10:38

Confidence and love and I just was thinking

10:40

all these things I'm like wow a lot

10:42

of parents need to experience this they do

10:44

and also see their own kids in this

10:47

type of situation I think it is great

10:49

too, you know, and I don't

10:51

know. I just took so much away. I was on

10:54

cloud nine I was on cloud nine. I still am

10:56

I think it's incredible and I

10:58

think the more that we could have kids

11:00

involved and we could have people

11:02

involved that are so positive and Really

11:05

are aware of things of teaching these kids

11:07

Maybe they'll be less bullying and maybe they'll

11:09

be like I am like

11:11

T-ball coaching changes the world We

11:14

could do it and people probably think we're crazy. I mean

11:16

we're talking about T-ball It's like, you know

11:18

what nothing big but it yeah Hey Like

11:21

I'm like we wanted to teach these boys

11:23

because one thing is like I think we could

11:25

be champs because we cared Do you know how

11:27

to mean and if we're not it's okay Right,

11:30

but what I'm saying is they got something

11:32

out of practice like where everyone's like just

11:34

you know watch them for an hour They'll

11:36

be fine. No, we made them work I

11:38

mean, I will tell you guys a couple

11:40

of the boys were right We're literally had

11:43

five minutes left to practice and they're like

11:45

I'm tired. I got a set Mateus slept

11:48

I think eleven and a half hours straight last night, right? But

11:50

you know we did we we wore them out

11:52

in such a great way I mean we took

11:54

water breaks. We had our little chitchat moments. But

11:57

yeah, I mean we made Them work. I Made them

11:59

work. More and better will guide and

12:01

they they la de our reign as

12:04

be Loved it. I just I love

12:06

it. It makes me have a whole

12:08

new appreciation for coaches. I've always appreciated

12:10

my coaches. I mean. They.

12:13

For you and I specially with our

12:15

upbringing and like our coaches meant so

12:17

much to S a Damn, they truly

12:19

were a role models in our lives.

12:21

Then there was a lotta things that

12:23

they instilled in us that we took

12:26

throughout our life and I think. That's.

12:29

A big part of the successes we

12:31

had and wrestling was what are soccer

12:33

coaches gave us and even my truck

12:35

coach? But. Have been especially

12:37

you know, Matt Potter Lake scene which

12:39

he did with us for eleven years

12:41

straight. Like we took so much from

12:44

that. Place. Bay City starting

12:46

at this age, it's sake we really

12:48

gotta appreciate our coaches so much more

12:50

even t ball because it's it's to

12:52

take to volunteer and go out there.

12:55

But what they could do for your

12:57

kid in that our is a lot

12:59

Raiders to do you think. T.

13:01

Ball Seasons Dan I mean. Where.

13:05

else is Yorker. Your. Coated I

13:07

could do it am with everything of it

13:09

sits because obviously a towel and I know

13:11

he buddy they wanted to soccer I've I'd

13:13

love to coach with you. I have fun

13:15

with you. I like being with you. Are

13:18

now. let's say okay, the boys, they

13:20

they're growing there. You know we're not

13:22

doing a T balls and like the

13:25

fun soccer it gets more serious. Do

13:27

you see yourself stepping into a role

13:29

where maybe you're coaching women's or maybe

13:31

girls' soccer. I mean

13:33

Bree. mainly what it's about for me. Is

13:35

I just sort. Of the time

13:38

to commit to be an amazing coach. like

13:40

yeah to go out there and a half

13:42

assed something. but. I. Would wanna be

13:44

amazing be the best and that tix lotta time

13:46

that I just don't have right now and i

13:48

I keep to I keep doing chemo without. Buddy.

13:51

Mattel okay as they grow I'll keep

13:53

you in t ball I I just

13:55

know as I played sports matt to

13:57

go out there dribble kicked. va i mean

13:59

what would show what he could do was

14:02

incredible but he was a professional soccer

14:04

player from the UK. Yeah. There's women

14:06

that either just graduated college or

14:08

just came out of the pros that make great

14:10

coaches and they're still playing the game. Yeah. I

14:12

mean does it then make you feel like you

14:15

want... I could go though motivate and like... Well

14:17

that's what I mean like... Did it

14:20

make you feel that self? Like a mentorship? 100%.

14:24

Totally. And like look I would I wouldn't

14:26

mind actually going and you know helping

14:29

out with like high school teams knowing

14:31

that there's a coach there to do

14:33

the agility work and really like

14:36

lead the practices in a way. I can

14:39

construct them. I could talk through them but

14:41

I don't... I haven't been to like Beckerman

14:43

a long time. Yeah but when I look

14:45

at pro leagues I mean it's

14:48

not like Bill Belichick throwing the ball. No

14:50

right well that's so that's a different story

14:52

and he has all the assistant coaches but

14:54

you know when it's talking club soccer high

14:56

school's not like that all these assistant coaches.

14:59

I mean talking about Bill

15:01

Belichick compared to... I mean come on girl. You

15:03

know. You got it in you. You think you

15:05

can go out there kick the ball around? I

15:07

haven't tried in a long time. Yeah. So you

15:10

know sex when you got a spinal condition

15:12

a broken neck so. But

15:15

I do feel like there are a lot of

15:17

coaches out there who might not be able to show

15:19

it. Like you're right. Physically it's

15:21

the way they use their words. It's footage.

15:24

It's actually you know this is like

15:26

you're saying if Bonita

15:29

Bonita is in the place where it's like running

15:31

on its own. Mommy doesn't need to be as

15:33

hands-on. I'm not doing so much of the TV

15:35

gigs. I would definitely

15:39

be a head coach of a place knowing

15:41

that I have assistant coaches that can help with

15:43

the hands-on stuff but I could be there construct,

15:47

motivate, inspire and take us to the gold to

15:49

the championship. I would 100% do that. Yeah. For

15:51

sure. Yeah.

15:55

I like that. Yeah I could. I think you'd be really

15:57

good at it. I mean I do too. I think I

15:59

would too but I... I didn't necessarily

16:01

have the complete desire to,

16:04

but there was, you saw my passion.

16:07

I saw your passion. Yeah. I really

16:09

felt, and I felt you on that. And then like the way you were texting me,

16:11

I was like, wow, I loved

16:14

it. I mean, she's like, not gonna get sleep

16:16

tonight. It's like Christmas morning happens. You know what,

16:18

it's just so, I mean, but you know me,

16:20

I've been a tomboy since the beginning of time

16:23

for me. It was, I've been a tomboy my

16:25

whole life. And so being back

16:27

in that sports atmosphere

16:29

and knowing like we're playing for games and

16:32

we're playing for something like that,

16:34

I love. Texas Pete is

16:36

a sauce that allows you to sauce

16:38

like you mean it. It's generosity in

16:40

its simplest form. And it's a swagger

16:43

people have who know what's good. That's

16:45

right. Each Texas Pete sauce

16:47

is packed with bold, balanced flavor. The

16:49

signature tanginess is what makes it a

16:52

legendary hot sauce that can be used

16:54

on just about anything. It has been

16:56

at the center of dinner tables

16:58

since 1929 and

17:01

is still heating things up today. Oh

17:03

yeah. And you know, you're definitely going

17:05

to want to try every flavor. The

17:07

original hot sauce has a famous secret

17:10

blend of fermented peppers. The hotter

17:12

hot sauce is three times

17:14

hotter than the original and

17:16

not for the faint of

17:18

heart. Sabor by Texas Pete

17:22

And their dust dry seasoning

17:24

matches the flavor of the

original hot sauce in a

17:28

flavorful dry rub. It's

17:30

just making my mouth water thinking about it.

17:32

I mean, I'm always reaching for the Texas

17:35

Pete. I think we put it on our

breakfast, lunch and dinner. And we really do.

17:39

And we actually even sneak hot sauce in

17:41

our purses so restaurants don't have hot sauce.

We put it on. Texas Pete

18:33

loved the competitive side of wrestling. I

18:35

loved being able to show off my

18:38

athletic ability. I loved the aggression and

18:40

I loved the storytelling. But what

18:42

people forget is I was an athlete my

18:44

whole life. So I played for championships and

18:46

I played to win games and to win

18:49

seasons and to be MVP to win awards.

18:51

For championships, what

18:54

I loved about, especially because my

18:56

game and your game was soccer,

19:00

I didn't know how I was going to do that day

19:02

but I knew I'd give it my all and no matter

19:04

what I knew my team and I were either going to win

19:06

or lose it but no one knew the finish. I

19:09

loved that with wrestling obviously we went and lost

19:11

the finish and it was hard at times as

19:13

an athlete when I was like, oh but whatever.

19:17

So I think being back in this space of like,

19:19

hey I don't know how we're going to do the

19:21

season but we're going to practice our asses off, we're

19:23

going to get to those games and

19:25

we're going to see. There is like a

19:28

thrill in that. That's why sports still kill

19:30

it because we never know the ending. And

19:32

that's what I love about sports. Then when we

19:35

get to the big times like Super Bowl, Final

19:37

Four, whatever it may be, it's just so damn

19:39

exciting. Well what I find really interesting Nikki and

19:41

this is just me being very observant

19:44

and just being around

19:46

you the last couple months, you and I have been working

19:48

out really hard. We've

19:50

really been kicking my butt. And

19:52

obviously I can't even lift this heavy issue but we've both been

19:55

killing it in the gym. And

19:57

Then it was like when we were at the Suns game and you were in

19:59

your athletic club. I when

20:01

I know much Q: why do I

20:03

know where my said it was Whatever.

20:05

Get a much cuter and younger. Yeah

20:07

I mean but wait you know you

20:09

search or kind of realized what makes

20:11

you shine and what makes you feel

20:13

confident and really good and just been

20:15

someone who's been with you nonstop. I've

20:17

just noticed when you're working out really

20:19

hard. When. You're in the sports atmosphere

20:21

and when you're dressed up like what

20:24

you'd like as a sexy tomboy, you

20:26

a good in the next level. Said.

20:28

I get elevated, you get elevated but

20:31

there's something to that. It's very interesting

20:33

right thing that makes you feel bad

20:35

that make my best and I think

20:37

that's why you poaching you are on

20:40

such a high because you were in

20:42

your natural element your number state something

20:44

that gives you a drive Yeah makes

20:46

you feel just confident it's natural. For

20:49

you. And you like to motivate

20:51

people to you like to be

20:53

motivated race so you've liked given

20:56

that energy. Well, it's crazy because

20:58

here plant. That's why Fearless Nicky

21:00

thrives, right? The minute we

21:02

didn't have to be identical. Look at the

21:04

minute I put on my version of a

21:07

jersey site with my soccer jersey just cut

21:09

way and house you know, oh way in

21:11

half and this sorts were just up a

21:13

little bit of they throw my soccer socks

21:15

and my cat rights. I became. Phone.

21:18

Swingy, the champion of all time and those

21:20

be if it wasn't like I was has

21:22

hinted that I earned that race. But like

21:24

you said, I. Once. I

21:26

became me and like you saw me recently,

21:29

I am i best self on it. I

21:31

felt there and I've had this thought since

21:33

the Phoenix Suns game because of the compliments

21:35

I was getting and been back in shape

21:38

when I'm in their lists. Dean and I'm

21:40

getting physically stronger. I. Get

21:42

like sept happen inside. I'm like I'm

21:44

pursuing my best self been nothing but

21:46

I don't know. Any rate and what

21:49

I realize and a lot of people

21:51

relate to this. When.

21:53

I became a mom, I got lost. And.

21:56

look i'm in a private emotional about

21:58

it but like i think you would

22:00

What didn't help me was I was

22:02

working out hard, pregnant in a safe way. I

22:05

was with a trainer and we were doing the

22:07

safe way to keep Mateo safe as

22:09

I was working out and then the pandemic hit. And

22:12

we all didn't know what the F was

22:14

going on. All we knew is go hide

22:16

inside and don't touch any, don't talk to

22:18

anyone, don't touch like nothing. And

22:21

I'm in Arizona baking, so I couldn't even work out my gym.

22:23

And Art was making grudge every day. Yeah. And

22:27

I remember my last trimester,

22:29

because that's kind of when everything happened, when

22:31

I couldn't work out anymore, like because

22:33

of the heat and I was just stuck inside.

22:36

And then not knowing like, you know,

22:38

we were going to get in deck to the Hall of Fame.

22:40

And I remember thinking like, how cute, we're going to be on

22:42

stage with our pregnant bellies at WrestleMania. And

22:45

I was just thinking of all these things and we lost

22:47

everything. You and I had a lot of work lined up.

22:50

We lost everything. Artim had lost dance in the stars, but

22:52

then he got to go back. Then

22:54

I lost working out. And I was trying to

22:56

be a new mom and with no help. And

22:58

I'm trying to do all the things and be

23:01

a supportive wife and big moves.

23:04

And I just feel like it's taken

23:06

me three and a half years to get

23:08

back. Like when I started to come

23:10

back a little bit, all of a sudden, then I had

23:12

shoulder tears and I had to stop working out again. And

23:15

then I've sat here and then I got weak

23:17

again. And it's just been this old thing. But then it's

23:19

also been like, I've been like,

23:22

who am I? Like, can I be sexy as

23:24

a mom? Can I be this as a mom?

23:26

Can I do this? Why do I feel

23:29

weird? I'm tired. I'll tell you the tiredness

23:31

gets me. For sure. And then

23:33

I chopped my hair and like, don't get me wrong. I've loved

23:35

myself with the ball, but I fucking miss my long hair. And

23:38

then I kind of grow it and then I cut it and then

23:40

I'm like, no, put in the fake. And then I'm like, oh my

23:42

gosh, I look like I don't even know

23:44

what with all this fake ass hair in. And

23:46

then I just have been so lost.

23:49

You have been. And I've been

23:51

trying to find myself when like, I know who she is,

23:53

but I've been like, how do I get back to

23:55

her? Because I feel like not only have I become

23:58

a mom, but I'm in my late. Not

24:00

my late 30s and more. I'm 40 now, but like I

24:02

was also in a period Of time

24:04

as a woman that's hard to transition to you

24:06

know what I mean? Sure And the thing is

24:08

is the fearless nicki jersey doesn't have to be

24:10

the itty bitty jersey you wear I get that

24:13

you can wear A jersey and

24:15

feel the same thing. I think For

24:18

me it was who knew being a t-ball

24:20

coach would help spark something Even

24:22

going to the phoenix sense game would

24:24

help make you realize nothing ponytail But

24:26

it is interesting to realize when you

24:28

are in these certain moments. What

24:31

makes you feel great I know for me when

24:33

i'm literally sitting in the garden and the

24:36

breeze is going through my hair and the sun is

24:38

on my face It's it

24:40

when you know those really blissful moments.

24:42

It's important to recognize it one Like

24:46

when I started soccer like you were dancing,

24:48

right? You were ballerina And

24:51

you would show up to my practices and your

24:53

tutu and they'd be like who's that girl like dancing

24:55

around and you'd be a total Birdie by the way now

24:57

when I look at birdie. Oh for sure and everyone's

24:59

i'm like that's my sister like yeah She likes

25:01

to dance and then mom and dad force

25:03

you to get on the soccer field and you know that But

25:06

even when like college you went you're being free

25:08

and i'm I still had to find athletics, right?

25:11

so then I went into college ball and I

25:14

just always went back to sports because

25:16

then even when I get lost as like

25:19

Trying to find my way or life sucks or whatever.

25:21

I just always knew like go back to a team

25:24

Get coach right your teammates get you

25:26

through like tough shit. So whatever's happening

25:28

at home Whatever it is. Like

25:30

I just knew I could rely on my teammates and

25:33

my coach and they'd be there and

25:35

so I think that's why I

25:38

thrived for so long being at wwe

25:40

because I was I looked

25:42

at the female locker room as a team sport

25:45

So even when I broke my neck I

25:47

came back because I was just a part

25:49

of the team and even when we became

25:52

ambassadors and Retired I was still a part

25:54

of athletics still making comebacks here their royal

25:56

rumble, whatever And it

25:58

it's weird though when and the athletics

26:00

had stopped for me how it was

26:03

like, where do I do? And

26:05

then when I didn't have the feeling like, when

26:08

you've been somewhere for 16 years, like

26:11

I knew even when I was

26:13

just in appearance, I'd show up as Nikki Bell, Fearless

26:15

Nikki. It was always a part of me. So there

26:17

it's this point of like where I'm lost. Like I

26:20

wasn't given Fearless Nikki. Fearless Nikki became part

26:22

of me. She was me. Do

26:24

you know what I mean? You'd be Fearless Nicole. Well,

26:27

I get that. And I am fucking

26:29

Fearless Nicole, right? But

26:31

I think because not having the Nikki Bell

26:34

IP, I'm just like, I

26:36

feel like I can't be that even though I am

26:38

that. Like because

26:40

of who I am is what made that. You

26:43

know what I mean? There was all the

26:45

legal stuff on top of being a mom,

26:47

part of this, but that's

26:49

life. And that's life. And

26:52

so I'm not least figuring my way back.

26:54

There you go. Being at the Suns game

26:56

and getting into what felt like

26:59

me again and coaching, I was

27:01

like, you know what? And Mateo, he was so proud of me.

27:03

You saw that towards the end. He was like, I don't want

27:05

to share anymore. And he just wanted to keep hugging me and

27:07

holding me, which you guys were so cute.

27:09

You know how your kids can get jealous. Like Mateo

27:12

was finally like, mommy hold me. Cause he was like, I

27:14

don't want to share anymore. And I loved it. I could

27:16

tell he was like all proud of me. Yeah. And

27:19

you know, I, buddy,

27:21

unfortunately I couldn't go to his first tee ball practice

27:23

cause he has an ear infection, but we had birdie

27:25

assistant coach. She was so cute. And

27:28

then she goes down to the

27:30

river with some families at walking distance and

27:32

falls in it. And when I saw her come back up drenched

27:34

and I was like, but it was really cute cause when we

27:37

went home, buddy was like, why are you so wet? She's

27:39

like, well, I fell in the river in front of everyone. And

27:41

I was like, birdie, were you embarrassed? She's like a little bit.

27:44

And then buddy goes, but you shouldn't be. When you fall,

27:46

this is what you do. And he's like eating dinner, telling

27:48

her like he's this old little man.

27:50

That's cute. But going back to

27:53

you, it was, you know, I could

27:55

feel it from you, but getting all your texts message

27:57

outside, I'm like, oh girl is finally.

28:00

found herself again. You know? I

28:02

just, you know me, I feel like my

28:05

place I've always thrived in is sports. It's

28:08

just as an athlete, that's, I'm

28:10

not a supermodel. I'm not

28:13

a CEO of a gigantic company. We'll

28:15

soon be. But you know what

28:17

I mean? I don't, I'm not going to tell you

28:19

how to do stocks and give you numbers and give

28:21

you that kind of like

28:24

advice, right? And tell you to thrive in that way.

28:27

I'm not a mentor when it comes to that

28:29

kind of stuff. But what I thrive

28:31

in and what I could give you and tell people

28:33

is I know how to motivate and inspire when it

28:35

comes to being an athlete and winning games and what

28:37

it takes to get there and

28:39

how you, the mindset of it. I

28:42

know that physically, mentally, closing

28:45

my eyes, the back of my hand, it doesn't matter.

28:47

But that's the place I feel my best in,

28:50

is being an athlete. Which is like,

28:52

you know, we also got to think about all

28:54

these pro athletes that when they come to the

28:56

retirement age and why it's hard on them, men

28:58

and women. It's hard. This is all we know.

29:00

And all we know from not just

29:02

the pros from the beginning of what got us to the

29:05

pros. You know what I mean? And it's

29:07

also hard to know when to retire. Because I

29:09

look at someone like Brian, who, you know,

29:11

last year my husband broke his orbital bone

29:13

in two places and his arm. And

29:16

but he'll, he'll tell you like, it's what he loves

29:18

and what he's meant to do. And he's like, what

29:20

else would I do in life? And

29:22

you know, we all say certain things to him, right? Like you

29:24

could be a, I

29:27

don't know, a park ranger, a gardener.

29:29

Like we always throw these things, but

29:31

like his love is

29:33

the ring, is wrestling. And so yeah, there's

29:35

a lot that I can see what the

29:37

athletes leaving. It's, you're kind of

29:39

lost. Right. Well, and like, since

29:42

you and I have been like lifting so much and

29:44

you know, we always say we start to get that

29:46

wrestling mindset. Like, we're going to go back and do

29:48

this story and cut this promo. You get it. How

29:50

serious I got where I was like, okay, I

29:52

think I could do maybe a year

29:54

at AW and I could do it every

29:57

week. Cause then when I saw Mercedes debut and like

29:59

cutter promo and that lines stuck with me like

30:01

are you know here we get to make our

30:03

evolution worldwide and I was like you

30:06

do like wait a minute right it goes into mini

30:08

leagues is what she means like it doesn't have to

30:10

be at one place it could be at all the

30:12

place where all these women are wrestling are at right

30:14

and I actually like that I talking to you I

30:17

go brief so I think I could do it from

30:19

a year I'm gonna I could do it from here

30:21

to here I could go every week I could be

30:23

good and then I thought

30:25

of Mateo I had a good week of

30:28

like this is it I'm gonna call Tony

30:30

Khan I'm gonna be I'm your girl I

30:32

will commit and then

30:34

I was like I can't do that to my son right now

30:36

he well when you meet me when you told me you

30:38

were thinking that I was like please

30:40

don't ask me to be your tag partner

30:42

because my husband is gone all the time

30:44

I'm the one who's at home with the kids you

30:47

know and I I the my

30:49

thing is is that how

30:52

much I would love to do it when

30:54

I have to think of reality the schedule does

30:56

not work with my life right now no I

30:59

and that's I started to

31:01

think like everyone thinks well it's TV one

31:03

day a week you have travel you have

31:05

preparation I'm someone who I have

31:07

to go San Jose and get in the

31:09

ring every day like there's a lot that goes into it

31:12

and that takes all

31:14

the time away from my son and he needs me the

31:16

most right now and maybe the

31:18

day Brian retires well that's

31:20

what I said Artem the day you retire

31:22

from dancing then I could go for a

31:25

year right but there has to be a

31:27

full-time parent I mean when does

31:29

Artem ever think about retirement I

31:31

don't think he likes to think about that I mean

31:34

the way Artem moves he has a

31:36

long time he's but he's taking care

31:38

of himself so Time for

31:40

a quick break to talk about McDonald's. Mornings

31:42

are for mixing and matching at McDonald's. For

31:44

just $3, mix and match two of your

31:46

favorite breakfast items, including a sausage

31:48

McMuffin. with

32:00

any other offer or combo meal. Single item

32:02

at regular price. Yesterday

32:06

I went hiking, I went swimming,

32:08

I worked out and then

32:10

T-ball and then home. I just maybe on my feet all

32:13

day doing different things. And I'll tell you, our hike

32:15

was a little hard and then we

32:17

kept seeing poop and

32:19

I could tell it was mountain lion poop. Ooh girl,

32:21

you gotta be careful there. And then, oh, but

32:23

then I told Brian, I go, we're on the worst

32:25

trail right now because look how

32:28

tall this grass is and we're on the thin

32:30

trail. What are you guys doing? I finally told

32:32

them. I know, I finally said I go, Brian,

32:34

we've passed twice now. Bobcat

32:37

or mountain lion poop. One was

32:39

kind of small, the next one was huge. And

32:41

then Brian's like, yeah, but sometimes our children can

32:43

have big logs. You

32:45

can't ever judge an animal by the poop. I go, no. People

32:48

are not walking their kids. No. Not

32:50

that it's kids. He's like, you don't know the size

32:52

because I saw the smaller one and then probably half

32:54

mile up, then I saw a big one and I'm

32:56

like, oh gosh. But you hope it's not a little

32:58

bobcat poop because that means the mommy's right by it.

33:00

That's what I was saying. I made us turn around.

33:03

Good. And then I go, and there's

33:05

rattle cakes up on that trail. I go, what do we, I

33:07

finally told Brian. I go, it's our anniversary. I don't want to

33:09

be the couple who's that big old good morning

33:11

America story. Couple dies on their

33:13

10 year anniversary hike. I'm like, we

33:15

gotta turn around. And then he and I went swimming

33:18

and we were racing each other. And

33:21

Brian and I swear, because Brian doesn't know how to

33:23

swim, he's at dog paddles. If

33:25

dog paddling was in the Olympics, which

33:28

I think this should happen, Brian

33:30

would for sure get the gold. I

33:32

would love to do that. He is the greatest

33:34

dog paddler I have ever seen in my life.

33:36

And he kept up to me, who's

33:39

a great swimmer. And I feel like, Nicole,

33:41

I go fast, right? I think so. Yeah.

33:44

But like, I was shocked. But

33:46

he was so worn out, poor guy. Oh,

33:48

I bet. Did you imagine dog paddling? No,

33:50

but I remember seeing him. I remember the

33:52

first time I saw that happen and my

33:54

jaw drops and I go, is he

33:56

dog paddling? But I have to say,

33:58

you know, Nicky. I understand,

34:01

you know, I think all our listeners can agree,

34:03

whether you're a mom or just you don't even

34:05

have to be a mom. You can be

34:07

a dad or you don't even need a child. At

34:10

some point in your life, feel like you lost yourself

34:13

and you feel like you're on this journey trying to find

34:15

yourself. And I just think one thing

34:17

for our listeners to truly take away of just what

34:20

we've been experiencing, especially what I feel like you in

34:22

the last week, is that you're going to

34:24

have these moments in life that come

34:27

up that you're like, whoa. I

34:29

am so happy right now or this made me

34:31

feel so good or those moments when we're like,

34:33

oh, I'm on cloud nine. Yeah. Write

34:36

it down because you're going to start

34:38

to collect them. And I think for

34:40

you, yours keeps going back to athletics,

34:43

athletics, athletics. So obviously that makes you

34:45

so happy and makes you feel you,

34:48

your purpose, who you are, and you

34:50

shine. I watch you and I'm like,

34:52

it's like all something. You

34:55

know, and I've started to know those moments.

34:58

I swear I could be a florist or

35:00

barista. I can live in

35:02

coffee shops and talk to people and make

35:04

them coffees and look at cute

35:06

little things. Or I could live in

35:08

a flower shop and just be the happiest girl in

35:10

the world. Yeah. And I see

35:12

that you love, you thrive in your garden. You truly

35:14

love it. And flowers like

35:16

even when we're on the retreat in like Como,

35:19

I love drinking up. We're all staring at you

35:21

guys, but you were so into it. And

35:23

I'll admit it was frustrating for me

35:26

because I couldn't get it right because that's my

35:28

competitive side. I can't just do things

35:30

and not be competitive, not trying to be the

35:32

best. Even when I'm in a pure

35:34

bar and if someone's next to me, they're telling

35:36

you always, I start like going so, but it's

35:38

just my mindset and it's gotten me

35:40

to great places as far as athletics, whether it

35:42

was soccer or wrestling. But when it's other things,

35:44

I'm like, chill out, Nicole, you don't always have

35:46

to win. But I always do that. Even

35:49

if it's a board game, it's just my

35:51

personality. And I

35:53

agree. I think our listeners like

35:55

really start to be mindful

35:57

of just what really

36:00

just makes your heart beat.

36:02

Yeah. I mean, you guys,

36:04

this is, Brie can tell you, for so

36:06

long, I was even lost on wardrobe.

36:09

What do I buy, Brie? And I'm up these sizes.

36:11

Always. And I'm buying this, and I don't

36:13

look like me. I don't feel like me. I have told

36:15

her that. And then I get

36:17

these good American pants, and I throw on a jersey

36:20

that I had just for years. And I'm like, see,

36:22

this is me. And I feel so good, and I'm

36:24

comfortable, but I feel sexy. And

36:26

it was crazy, because I told Brie, I go,

36:28

I think I'm going to get rid of majority of my stuff,

36:30

and I'm just bringing this back in. And I

36:32

got to let go of my stretched out belly button

36:35

and my stretch mark. Oh, that's part of life. No,

36:37

but I get it. It just took me a while

36:39

to accept it. And I really, you know me, I'm

36:41

always in a crop. I really don't care at times.

36:44

But it is weird that almost when you see a

36:46

photo, I'm like, oh, damn. There

36:49

it is. Right. I just. Yeah,

36:51

aging is a beautiful thing. And

36:53

it is. And having kids is

36:55

a beautiful thing. It is. All of it. You know

36:58

what I look at it when I look in the

37:00

mirror? I'm like, I'm lucky to be alive and actually

37:02

see wrinkles on my face. I'm lucky

37:04

to be alive to actually look at my

37:06

body and see stretch marks from birthing babies.

37:09

I'm lucky to have those moments, because so many

37:11

people don't have them. Didn't live long enough to

37:13

have them, or never got to experience them, even

37:15

if they wanted to. Or

37:18

healthy, too, which is the most important

37:20

thing. And that's what I tell myself

37:22

every day. And when I pray, I

37:25

show so much gratitude, because I'm so

37:27

grateful for my health. Let me

37:29

tell you guys, I've been strict. And Artem's

37:31

even been impressed. I do.

37:33

I wait till 11 AM to eat. We

37:35

were even at our favorite spot. And

37:38

Artem was, well, let's just have breakfast. I

37:41

go, Artem, it's not 11 AM. And I'm not cheating now.

37:43

I'm not starting now. I've been doing this for two months

37:45

straight now, 11 AM. And

37:48

I finish at six. And let me tell you, there was

37:50

one night, I didn't have dinner. And I don't know if

37:52

that's good for my body or not. But by

37:54

the time I could have dinner with 7.30, Artem

37:56

made amazing salmon. And I skipped it. And he

37:58

was like, are you sure? And I go, I just. I'm

38:01

seeing results, I'm feeling good because

38:03

there was one night that, look,

38:05

if I want to go out

38:08

to dinner and like, geez, I'm going to do all that

38:10

stuff. I'm not like so strict with it, but when I'm

38:12

at home, stick to the plan. One

38:15

night I ate a little later. I had a tummy ache all night

38:17

because my body is so used to now 11am to 6pm. That's

38:20

for sure. That's how I've been. And I just,

38:23

for me, taken out dairy out of my day.

38:25

Well, and no, I've always been. I'm like a

38:27

French bulldog. When I see cheese, I'm like, you

38:29

see my drool coming out of my mouth. But

38:32

I have been so good not having any dairy

38:34

and I don't eat my kids food anymore. And

38:36

trust me, I want to eat their mac and

38:38

cheese and finish their quesadillas and pizza. I

38:41

have cheated with pizza twice in the last two months. Only

38:44

twice. See. And I did

38:46

LGO when I was in Arizona. But good for us. We

38:49

should. And have those moments. Yeah, mom and I

38:51

were sitting at the bar. It's important for your metabolism, by the way.

38:53

You get a chock it. And mom and I

38:55

were sitting at the bar. I smashed. And I was like,

38:57

hey, that pizza was good, huh? And I

38:59

was like, oh gosh. I walked out. I go, mom, see? I

39:02

was like, scarfing. I love it. Well, before

39:04

you give some inspiration information, I have one last question for you. Okay. So

39:07

you think we're going to win the championship for

39:09

T-Bowl? No, we are. Yeah, girl. In black and

39:12

gold. Oh, oh, oh. Time

39:14

for a quick break to talk about McDonald's.

39:16

39:40

All right. So here's this quote for some

39:43

inspiration affirmation for you to take into the

39:45

week. Obviously, you have Coach, Bree, and Nicky.

39:47

So I thought this would be appropriate.

39:51

Here it is from Timothy Galway. Coaching

39:55

is unlocking a person's potential

39:57

to maximize their own performance.

39:59

It is helping them

40:02

to learn rather than teaching them.

40:05

I thought that was great because that's exactly

40:07

what I felt. Yeah. For

40:09

me, it's not telling

40:11

them what to do. It's guiding them so that

40:14

they learn it on their own because I do

40:16

feel like that is what true

40:19

athletes and people like when you're

40:21

really living the life you're supposed to, you don't

40:23

need to be able to tell you how to

40:25

live it. You just need some guidance. Just

40:28

truly unlock your purpose in life. Yeah. Right?

40:34

you and maybe not straight up but they're

40:36

going to lead you in that way. But they're

40:38

also going to open

40:40

up something where you were meant to

40:42

be in that place at that time.

40:45

One hundred percent. Can you agree more? Uh,

40:48

Bree, well this was fun. Can't we just keep

40:51

kicking butt? Keep kicking butt. Keep kicking

40:53

butt. That's right. And look for

40:55

videos of The Nicki and Bree Show on

40:57

RIG page, TikTok, Facebook and The Nicki and

40:59

Bree Show is also on Series XM,

41:01

stars one nine. I'm

41:09

still here. Time for

41:11

a quick

41:13

break to

41:16

talk about

41:18

McDonald's. Time for a quick

41:20
