The Aztec UFO crash was the first widely publicized report of a recovered UFO in the 1950 book, “Behind the Flying Saucers” by Frank Scully. Unfortunately, the Aztec case has been derided as a hoax for decades. However, thanks to almost 30 years of exhaustive research conducted by Scott Ramsey, his wife Suzanne, and Frank Thayer, it does appear that something strange did land on top of a rocky plateau in New Mexico on March 25, 1948. This case, according to the Ramsey’s and Thayer, has the potential to change history, and they hope that their new book, “The Aztec UFO Incident: The Case, Evidence, and Elaborate Cover-up of One of the Most Perplexing Crashes in History”, will provide key evidence that the U.S. military has been keeping the Aztec incident top secret for almost 60 years.

Scott Ramsey, the foremost researcher into the Aztec incident, has worked on the story since 1987, discovering archives and pursuing interviews throughout the United States. As a specialist in magnetic fields and wire, he has worked for Fortune 500 companies, and currently is vice president of sales and marketing for Express Wire Services in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Suzanne Ramsey’s family lived in the Four Corners area, and Suzanne owned a small business there, pursuing media writing and hosting a radio show. She met and married Scott Ramsey after he appeared on her show to discuss his research. Suzanne has traveled extensively, interviewing and pursuing research in university and USAF archives.

Frank Thayer, PhD, came to the Aztec Incident project in 2009, when Scott Ramsey shared witness information of the recovery at Hart Canyon. Thayer is a New Mexico native with extensive journalistic and journalism education experience. Now a professor emeritus at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, he has professional experience as a writer, editor, photographer, and educator both in New Mexico and in Canada where he also lived and taught for 11 years. He is a published book author and is co-author of the Ramsey’s’ other book, “The Aztec Incident: Recovery at Hart Canyon”.
