Hello and welcome to the first episode of Package, Podcast and Profit. I am your host, Brandy Butler, the Vision Activator and Message Syndicator. Some people call me the Podcast Maven. I am so excited about this new show. The whole premise of this show is to really help you understand how the three Ps: Packaging, Podcast and Profiting all go together so that you can create a brand that is irresistible and creates revenue.

Over the timespan of this past year, my platform has grown tremendously and a lot of that has progressed from the fact that I have committed to becoming a full-time entrepreneur. Some of you have been following me for a while and you know that I am an internet-business fanatic: I have done just about anything possible that you can do on the internet. I have sold physical products, I’ve had online boutiques, and I have been a lifestyle blogger – which was critical to my online education (trial by fire, if you want to call it that). My time as a lifestyle blogger taught me so much and one of the things that I have been able to really peer into is the fact that a lot of bloggers have a different type of mentality than entrepreneurs, and what caused a great deal of this shift is that I started to attend conferences. Here are some of the powerful things that I have learned during that time:

-        I have learned the power of networking. When I started attending these live conferences, I realized that there were a lot of things that you can get from networking in conferences. I have learned the power of networking and how to leverage that throughout my content marketing career.

-        Each group has its own pace, its own heartbeat. When I started to broaden my horizons in networking with people not just within the bloggers circle, but also within the entrepreneurs circles, I realized that each group has their own skillsets and somewhere there is a disconnect between the blogger mindset and the entrepreneurial mindset. That is where I fit in, because I have been able to operate in all these circles and you really have to marry concepts together in order to have success online.

-        Content is key. That is what bloggers understand very well. However, entrepreneurs understand positioning and packaging. The concept of this show is to bring all of those concepts together and marrying them so that you can understand how packaging, podcast (not just the platform, but how are you getting your message out) and profit works. This show is about how are you presenting yourself and once you have presented yourself, what is the value you are bringing and how you are magnifying that message so that more people can learn about you, hear about you, learn from you and once you have those two in place, that is where the profit comes in.

I have seen a lot of people give away their talents for free all this time. Listen: there’s a reason why people are tapping on you and they will continue to tap on you and learn from you for free until you learn how to put a price tag on that and package it up in a way where it is beneficial to the people you are serving and it also benefits you, because you are able to create an income for yourself by utilizing your time and skills. This is what the Package, Podcast and Profit show is all about. I have wonderful guests who will share with you the key items that has helped them to create success and influence online and offline. So if you are listening and you are an offline business (brick and mortar), you are going to learn how to magnify the presence of your shop online.
