It has been a wild ride in entrepreneurship for Lina Caulson. She immigrated from the former Soviet Republic of Lithuania while communism was crumbling in Eastern Europe in the early 90s.
She remembers tanks rolling down the main streets of her hometown as the communists left the country. Soon after, her mother decided to move her family to Chicago.
She came to America knowing no English - and has already lived the American dream.
She went to school, worked as a flight attendant, became a nurse - and as of two years ago - opened her own business!
CPR and Company started 2 years ago - just as the #COVID19 pandemic was kicking off.
The Valparaiso-based business recertifies nurses, doctors and other medical pros in CPR.
It was a Wild time to start a business - but she has been able to withstand the uncertainty, adapt to it, and expand her business! She has learned a lot about business and had help along the way!
She started by giving CPR recertifications in her home and has gradually expanded. Now she has her own building and stays incredibly busy - recertifying everyone from medical professionals to Boy Scouts!
Now, she is looking to expand the business and hire more people.
