Today we are talking about the Amityville murders also known as the Amityville horror story. This is a true crime case that took place in a house at 112 Ocean Avenue Thirty miles outside of New York City, in the Long Island town of Amityville. The case follows the Defoe family. Particularly Ronald Defoe who on Wednesday, November 13, 1974 murdered his entire family in the Amityville house while they were sleeping in their beds. The house and the horrors that occurred inside of it have been the inspiration for the best-selling book The Amityville Horror (1977) which was later adapted into a film and since then countless tv shows film remakes have been released. The house itself is said to be haunted and has drawn many paranormal experiences some of which occurred during filming both the original movie in 197 and the remake in 2005.
