In this episode, Jess and Jamie record a conversation with Dusty Rhodes, Jamie’s brother, and Dusty’s partner, Amy Wickner.

The overarching theme and question we talk about in this episode is “What is the purpose of going to school?” Is it to learn facts? Is it to learn how to take a test and become a good worker who will graduate and get a job? Or is it to learn how to interact with your peers and get ‘socialized’? What are we trying to prepare our kids for by sending them to a traditional school or by home schooling?

Jess, Jamie, Dusty and Amy all went to public school with different experiences. Listen in and here a discussion that points out some big pros and cons to the traditional ‘school’ system, and help us answer the question: “What is the purpose of going to school?”
