Hey everyone! This is a different type of series that won't happen as often as the "Living With:" series, and it's all about surviving and beating certain diseases. So this will be talked about in retrospect, as this guest is no longer living with breast cancer, which is awesome I might add!
So in this week's episode, I talk about Breast Cancer, and I get a little scientific about it as well, just to make the listener more aware of what's going on. I get into how the cancer grows, as well as diagnostics and treatment regimens used. I also talk about how to do a proper self-breast examination, as it is so important for women to do once a month. I also mention that men can also get breast cancer as well. Later, I talk to Kellie, who is one of the fortunate survivors of Mucinous Carcinoma, a rare type of breast cancer. She talks about her journey of getting surgery and the complication that followed, how chemo affected her new job, and an awesome haircut party she did since she wanted to make the best of a bad situation when she started to lose her hair.
