North State Journal reporter A.P. Dillon has the exclusive story of how Wake County Public Schools has been contracting with The Equity Collaborative to run 'training' and 'coaching sessions' over the past several years. One scheduled training event called "Intro to Critical Race Theory" was canceled after Dillon and the North State Journal made a public records request for the course materials. School officials say the course didn't go through the "normal approval process" and that CRT is not being used in the district. Of note - The Equity Collaborative is run by NC state Representative Graig Meyer (D-Orange).
