As soon as we said we were doing Romantic Comedy people started telling us their favourite films as well as kicking off a teensy debate about whether certain films could actually be called rom-coms. We have a chat about that as well looking at some of the essential ingredients for the genre and pick out our own movie highlight. We also talk with best selling author and award nominee Mhairi McFarlane to get some tips, find out about how she visualises her stories, and ask about how she prepares to write a novel. As always, we conclude with our own pitches for a rom-com movie.
