Our next guest on PodFest Asia Podcast is Radiolab’s Co-Founder Mikel Ellcessor (two-time Peabody award winner) who joined our all-star lineup of #PodFestAsia - A Virtual Event on December 4 on the stroke of midnight Singapore time. I remembered when it was time to go live, I was super-low on energy, having live-streamed all day from 630am the entire day without rest and moments before he entered our virtual podcasting studio, my tank was running on empty. By the time he left, I was completely re-energised. There was something magical and compelling about the insights, stories and wisdom he dropped during our 30-min conversation that charged me up and kept me pushing to complete the next day's PodFest Asia Day 2 program. About Mikel - he is an independent producer who puts together teams to help people with their original podcast strategy. He does content strategy and integrated communications work, too. Hailing from Dayton, Ohio - when Mikel was a kid, Dayton was a place where they manufactured the future. He wrote that not long ago on his LinkedIn post that he was thinking about the future when he helped launched his first radio station at age 22. It was on his mind when he and his co-founder Jad started Radiolab. Same in 2005 when he turned On The Media into a podcast, giving birth to WNYC's first on-demand audio strategy.
