Allen does an excellent job of bringing the history of the United States to life! It's a perfect show to listen to whenever you've got a couple spare minutes on your hands. 13/10 recommend.

Alllen does a really excellent job as a host to make you interested in subjects that even those from the United States may not have been exposed to in school but are important and vital to understanding where we are and where we came from! He is now in season 2 and the majority of episodes are usually around 30 minutes and make it perfect to listen on commute!

More like history of the United States and about 50 years before the colonies of America. 15 episodes in, hardly any discussion of politics at all. Just a summary of text book history I learned in high school. Where's the politics?

With each episode, Allen brings great insight into the political history of the United States. He starts with the European age of exploration and weaves together a centuries long tale full of information about how the political schema of what became the United States came into being. Highly recommend!
