Amy Wooddell is a PTA who lives and works in the KC Metro area. She had a stroke in 2010 and in 2012 joined THE Kansas City Kansas Community College PTA program. She shares her story of rehab from the patient perspective and how that's influenced her as a current clinician. She also founded National Orange Popsicle Week to raise awareness and provide a community for stroke survivors who are 45 years old and younger. They have plenty of volunteer opportunities (wink wink PT/PTA students). Be sure to check them out at www.nopw.org
