This weeks episode we go on a journey to discuss gratitude and what it has meant to us on our own unique and individual paths.  We all have different approaches and some are very similar.  The important factor is that we are all finding our own ways to connect deeper to the magic that gratitude offers our lives.

The practice of gratitude consist of making conscious choices to be grateful in the present moment. Our lives are consistently so full of warmth and abundance and it is when we take time to acknowledge and show that appreciation, that we are able to grow.

“Gratitude is a feeling that spontaneously emerges from within. However, it is not simply an emotional response; it is also a choice we make. We can choose to be grateful, or we can choose to be ungrateful—to take our gifts and blessings for granted. As a choice, gratitude is an attitude or disposition.”-Angeles Arrien

According to the Oxford Dictionary, gratitude is the quality of being thankful and the readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. So to embody this practice we are being thankful. What a better time to be thankful?

The holiday season brings many of our families together and even if we don’t have the best relationships with our relatives, this is the time to really be grateful that we are able to follow our own paths and break cycles. This is a time of year that we can really come together and show our love and appreciation in huge ways. So as we introduce gratitude let’s go ahead and try it so that you can get more familiar for your own practice.

Gratitude Exercise from The Power by Rhonda Byrne

#1 Think of something or someone you’re grateful for. You could choose the person you love more than anyone else in the world.

#2 Focus on that person and think about all the things you love and are grateful for about that person.

#3 In your mind or out loud, tell that person all those things you love and are grateful for about them, as though they were there with you.

#4 Tell them all the reasons you love them. You can recall particular instances or moments by saying, “Remember the time when . . .”

“As you’re doing it, feel the gratitude begin to fill your heart and body. The love you gave in that simple exercise must and will return to you in the relationship, and in your whole life. That is how easy it is to give love through gratitude.” -Rhonda Byrne

#5 Journal this gratitude experience. Another wonderful way to connect to the loving magic and power of gratitude is to begin a daily gratitude journal. Journaling daily with a new topic really keeps you in the practice of this beautiful and powerful experience. We hope you are as excited about practicing gratitude as we are and we invite you to share you experiences with us!

Gratitude is the gateway to the most infinite realms of the universe.  It will take you on a journey to open your heart and surrender to love and appreciation.  We are full of gratitude for our journey to know you deeper!
