Here is SHOW #60 - "The NFL and the LACK OF BLACK HEAD COACHES" in which I discuss the appalling deficit of Black, African American Head Coaches in the National Football League (NFL) as of today - January 31st, 2022. As of today and the recording of this podcast, there is ONLY 1 Black, African American Headcoach in the NFL! His name is Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The two other black headcoaches were FIRED at the end of the 2021 season -- Brian Flores and David Culley. Yes.. there are new black, African American new General Managers being hired in Chicago and Minnesota yet there is still no major INCENTIVE for owners to hire persons of color at the HEADCOACHING position. This is simply WRONG. I love the game of football particularly at the highest level of play among all of these very skilled super athletes yet VERY DISAPPOINTED in 2022 to see only ONE black African American Head Coach in the NFL. What do you think about this situation in a professional sport that makes MILLIONS of dollars every year and one that will celebrate the SUPERBOWL in just a few weeks? Please email me your opinion at: [email protected]. Time for the OWNERS and the NFL COMMISSIONER to step up!
