If you're an s-type, you may be a people pleaser. You may want to serve and help anyone who asks. You may have a hard time knowing what to do when someone is interested in you, but you don't return those feelings, because you don't want to hurt them. While this is a great way to be, it can also be troubling for these people to say "no," whether it be to play, intimacy, touching, or even a food you don't like. I am definitely one of those people who had to learn how to say no, and sometimes I still need to remind myself that I don't have to say yes, that I don't have to like something just because other people do. As a slave, the word "no" is hard work!

Do you struggle with saying no? Do you have a system of saying no that spares other peoples' feelings? Or are you bold as brass and can say "no!" with ease? We will discuss the feelings associated with saying no and why many of us feel bad about it, different scenarios(partner vs friend vs stranger), and the role of informed consent and negotiation in ensuring that your scenes don't go awry. We will discuss how to take a stand when someone tries to push you past the boundaries you set, and how to minimize the risk of being forced past those boundaries.
