I'm so excited to welcome Jen Bowers back to the show. Jen Bowers is a Brand Joy Coach & Strategist with over three decades of experience and an unapologetic, passionate voice for 50+ women who are ready to live their life in full colour.

Her mission is to help women over 50 uncover, rediscover and become who they were always meant to be through the power of branding, embodiment and self-transformation. Through her programs, presentations and services, Jen helps women entrepreneurs stand out like a flamingo in a flock of seagulls.

When flamingos are actively parenting and not looking after themselves or eating properly - they lose their pink colour. When the babies leave the nest, they start looking after themselves again and they get their pink back. It is Jen’s mission for the year to help as many women as she possibly can bring back their pink and not live their life in black and white.

In 2020, Jen was working in a corporate branding position for a corporate company and was unfortunately made redundant as a result of Covid. She tried to find another job in the corporate world but struggled as a designer at the age of 52. So what did she do? She took the opportunity to start running her own business. 

In this episode, Jen shares her career journey and how she felt that once she hit a certain age, she became invisible. She did a lot of soul searching and is now living her best life in full colour and is passionate about helping other women that feel their light diminishing and turning grey. 

Jen explores how she used to feel limited, too big or too old to do, act or wear certain things. She was always trying to stay small and fit in a box that just wasn’t made for her and broke free through a lot of self-development. 

We discuss Jen’s business journey, the impact of suggestive language, the power of perception, self-limiting beliefs, and how she incorporates community into her business and advocates for all business owners to not do everything on their own. 

Jen’s biggest achievement has been reinventing herself and going from living in black and white doing and being who she thought she should be to becoming who she was meant to be and exploring a new world full of vibrant colour.
