This week on The Roe Show I sit down and have a fun discussion with Guinness World Record holder for most consecutive backflips on spring loaded stilts, circus performer and creative artist, Ben Brason, known as "Backflip Ben." We discuss his varied career in both gymnastics and performing and how he learned to become a Power Stilts 'master' which earned him his world record.
He first started Tumbling and Acrobatic Gymnastics when he was just 7 years old and is a former gymnast for Great Britain, becoming National Champion in both Tumbling and Acrobatic gymnastics at Kings Lynn Gymnastics Club. During Ben's career he ended up specializing in Tumbling and eventually was picked to represent Great Britain in the French World Cup.
Ben also began performing at the age of 16 in local shows and productions whilst still competing in Tumbling. His first job was performing in the London 2012 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies this was where he fell in love with performing and decided to become a full time performer. Since then Ben has been performing all over the world, on stage, television, adverts and in stadiums. His skill sets include: Tumbling / Acrobatics, Trampoline Wall, Acrobalance, Cube Manipulation, Acrobatic Stilts / Jumping Power Stilts, Chinese Bungee, Fire Performing, Acting.
