🎬 Turning your video into a podcast is one simple way to make your podcasting efforts go further -- without a lot of extra work. In this video, we'll show how easy it is to turn your video into a podcast.

The first step will be to convert your video into an mp3 using a website like Audio Converter or Kapwing. For this video, we’ll use Audio Converter.

Once at the website, click the button that says “Open Files.”

Choose your video to import, and it will be uploaded to the site.

Now select the quality level you want for your audio. We recommend using BEST. This will make the file larger, but you’ll have better audio quality to work with in the next step.

Click “CONVERT” and in moments your audio file will be ready.

Once your file has completed converting, download and save it to the folder of your choosing on your computer.

For your second step, it will likely be necessary to edit your audio. Since video is visual, some things may not make sense in an audio format. Some converter programs allow editing, or you can use a program like Audacity to clip parts from the audio, add an intro and outro, and more.

After you’re happy with how the audio sounds, the third step is to design some artwork.

You can create your artwork for free on a website like Canva or Kapwing. For this example, we’ll use Canva.

Your artwork should be square and 1400 by 1400 pixels.

For this example, we’ll use a simple stock image from Pexels.com

The artwork you choose will serve as the thumbnail that accompanies your podcast channel, so make sure it’s clear, eye-catching, and includes the name of your podcast if you want.

The fourth step is to upload your audio file and artwork to your podcasting host. A good host will generate and update your podcast feed automatically, while also providing you with a dynamic website where your podcasts can live.

The last step is to submit your RSS Feed to directories such as iTunes, Google Podcasts and Spotify. This way your podcast can be found and enjoyed by people in whatever ways they choose to listen!

And that’s all there is to it. You’ve now successfully turned your video into a podcast and can repurpose additional videos for new episodes.
