Pavel Macek Sifu, has been involved in Chinese martial arts since 1991. In 1997 he began studying traditional “Lam Family Hung Kyun” Kung Fu and later in 2002, he founded his martial arts school, Practical Hung Kyun, through which he has taught 100s of students from all around the world.
He has also worked as a tactical self-defense coach for Ministry of Internal Affairs and other goverment or private agencies and is a certified Functional Movement Specialist under Gray Cook's FMS and strength and conditioning coach under the world famous Pavel Tsatsouline (StrongFirst)- the man that introduced kettle bells to the US
Finally, when he is not teaching he enjoys – research, translation work, publishing books, and lecturing on a range different subjects such as philosophy, art, traditional Chinese medicine and more.
