Three cryptid-hunters from the rundown, backwoods town of Blackbrook, Indiana, investigate folkloric monsters of the United States and similar reports from their little hometown. Strange things have happened in and around Blackbrook for as long as anyone can remember, but no one can prove there's anything out there. No one but our three intrepid investigators: Evan Streng, folklorist and folklore-believer, Peter Alasdair, historian and skeptic, and Laura Thresh, the charming host. They've taken it upon themselves to discover what, if anything, is out there. But there's nothing strange about Blackbrook. Nothing to worry about. Right?
