Marie and I have a great conversation about what a toxic relationship is, how to get out of it, and what it means for the people suffering in the relationship. 

We discuss how separations and divorce can become complicated because each party involved has loved ones who want the best for their side of the situation. However, Marie makes it clear you need to block out those external forces and listen to what works for you and the children in the situation. We discuss how important setting boundaries is and what it means to the relationship. 

We also discuss how healing and self-love/self-care looks different for everyone; however, some things will always be true and constant in that process. 

And finally, I asked her about writing her book and what inspired her to do it.
