I always enjoyed Greg Proops on “Who’s Line Is It Anyway,” but when he hosted his “Greg Proops Chat Show” we really got to see the first inklings of the mad genius that exists off of the improv stage- revealing a keen political mind and a unapologetically progressive man trying to inject humor and deep thought into a world seemingly off kilter. His schtick- he is the Smartest Man in the world- don’t contest him. He will harangue (with love), brow beat (with fun), and bully (with facts) those who fail to acquiesce to his whims. And so we get “boring preachy parts” – rants on politics, eulogies for the truly luminous people among us, historical lectures on Ancient Romans, Negro League Baseball and where the best vodka can be found on a given Tuesday. This is a thinking person’s podcast…please avail yourself ASAP!
